Mengi Yay is one of the most long-established yacht building companies in Turkey since 1964. It was first established by Ramazan Mengi in Ayvansaray as a small workshop. After Muzaffer Yay became partner with Ramazan Mengi in 1985 and they combined their surnames, Mengi Yay was established as the company name moving forward.

The adventure began in Ayvansaray with 3 meters of boat constructionwhich then moved to Nuh Industrial Site Cooperative establishment in Tuzla in 1984. The company began constructions of steel boats in 2006 and currently builds mega yachts in their own boat yard hangers. Successes of Mengi Yay were confirmed in 2011, 2012 and 2015 with the Yacht and Boat Construction award of Gold Anchor Maritime Success Awards and Istanbul Exporters’ Union (IEU) Turkey Third awards.

The new 44 meter Virtus Mega Yacht project has reached its final stage of construction and has been moved to the Tuzia shipyard where outfitting the interior has begun. Mengi Yay plans to launch the new Virtus 44 in mid-2019. Virtus will become Mengi Yay’s second largest motor yacht produced behind the 45 meter yacht named Aquarius.
