Then we step up a bit to the 29 Express— the hardcore fisherman’s dream. The 29 Express has impressive offshore ability, superb handling, and fuel efficiency. Her helm area is quite modern in its layout with three seats facing forward, aft mezzanine style seating, good sized in-deck macerated fish-boxes, transom live-well, tackle center, and a standard transom door. The entertainers in the group will appreciate her well-appointed galley, stand-up head, and forward bunks. Keep in mind though that the 29 is no snail as she offers twin Yamaha 300 or 350 hp engines for a comfortable ride with accommodations for up to a party of four. And finally, welcome aboard the 32 Express. Albemarle decided to add a top-of-the-line family member to it’s stable. With impressive speed and performance, it’s owner will leave other boats in its wake. This 32 footer packs a punch with her huge 80 square foot, flush deck cockpit. Large-screen electronics can be displayed without any size restraints in the helm cockpit. full-beam tackle and rigging station, twin 50-gallon fish boxes (optional freezer system available), and optional transom live-well are all some of the favorites with all the Albemarle operators.

Seating six comfortably inside and out, a nice meal can be had utilizing her full galley. Never compromising in accommodations, she features a large stand up electric head and shower, double berth and seven foot bunk making her a win-win for all—except for the fish caught!

Looking at the history of the Albemarle, we step back to when Albemarle and Carolina Classic were born in Edenton, North Carolina. Quickly becoming the finest and most reliable builder of the express fishing boat, a legend of greatness began.

The Albemarle timeline looks a bit like this:

In 1977 Scott Boat Works organized by Scott Harrell Sr. came into play and in 1978 the Incorporation of Albemarle Boats made for an exciting year for all as Mac Privott joins the company. Come to 1979 and the introduction of the Albemarle 24 made it’s spot in history. Then each year after something new was brought about such as in 1980 with the introduction of the 21 Albemarle; 1984, the introduction of the 27 Albemarle. Come 1986, and the Jackshaft (JPS) technology was introduced. While in 1989 we had the Introduction of the 32 Albemarle Convertible.

Turn to the year 1990. J. Scott Harrell Jr. became President of Albemarle Boats and then came the introduction of the 32 Express.

We step ahead to 1991 and Mac Privott launches Carolina Classic Boats, Inc. and a flurry of wonderful vessels were launched:
