Looking at the history of the Albemarle, we step back to when Albemarle and Carolina Classic were born in Edenton, North Carolina. Quickly becoming the finest and most reliable builder of the express fishing boat, a legend of greatness began.

The Albemarle timeline looks a bit like this:

In 1977 Scott Boat Works organized by Scott Harrell Sr. came into play and in 1978 the Incorporation of Albemarle Boats made for an exciting year for all as Mac Privott joins the company. Come to 1979 and the introduction of the Albemarle 24 made it’s spot in history. Then each year after something new was brought about such as in 1980 with the introduction of the 21 Albemarle; 1984, the introduction of the 27 Albemarle. Come 1986, and the Jackshaft (JPS) technology was introduced. While in 1989 we had the Introduction of the 32 Albemarle Convertible.

Turn to the year 1990. J. Scott Harrell Jr. became President of Albemarle Boats and then came the introduction of the 32 Express.

We step ahead to 1991 and Mac Privott launches Carolina Classic Boats, Inc. and a flurry of wonderful vessels were launched:
