These hulls are usually the least efficient with an uncomfortable ride since they go "through the water" and across the top of the water which, if rough, can be felt fully. This wouldn’t be the first choice when looking at cruising yachts.

Lastly, we come upon the full displacement vessels—with their deep drafts and rounded lines. Boaters looking for a very slow, long offshore journey— maxing out at 10 knots, will decide on this model.

Keep in mind though, that the deep draft of this hull isn’t conducive to cruising the coast and a sure red flag —especially on the East Coast Seaboard and Bahamas.
