United Yacht Sales is pleased to announce that "ISLA", a 2020 Majesty 100 luxury motor yacht, was sold by professional yacht broker Juan Morillo. Located in France at the time of sale, Juan traveled to Europe to view several luxury motor yachts, a trip he is accustomed to making for his clients. Delivered in July of 2020 and the ninth hull of the Majesty 100 series, ISLA had an asking price of $6,800,000 at the time of its sale. ISLA was on the market for just over 7 months. Congratulations to all parties involved and thank you to Nicolas Bochno of Aqua Marine who represented the selling party in the transaction.
"My client that purchased ISLA was a referral from another longtime customer that I have worked with in the past," said Juan. "Being a new boater, it was very important for me to find the perfect vessel that would fit his needs and allow him to truly enjoy the experience. We worked very closely together and had to be diligent. Similar to the mid-sized yacht market, the superyacht market also favors the seller. In this superyacht seller's market, demand is still strong, prices are elevated, and inventory is less than usual."
"What struck my client about ISLA was how much volume this Majesty Yacht had inside for a 100-foot yacht," continued Juan. "She is also built to RINA commercial standards which is not common on these size yachts. This provides more safety equipment and better overall engineering."

"Transactions on superyachts don't always come without obstacles," said Juan. "As a professional yacht broker, if my client wants a particular vessel it's up to me to help negotiate the terms and find common ground with the other agent. With ISLA, the previous owner wanted to finish the summer enjoying the boat. So we put her under contract and in the terms, we set the closing date for the fall which allowed us to secure the vessel and also meet the previous owners needs as well."
Hiring a professional broker to assist you in purchasing a boat, particularly yachts under $10 million, not only takes the stress of researching the market off of your shoulders, but it also provides you with the broker's experiences in dealing with these types of transactions. The selling party will have a broker assisting them, shouldn't you have someone on your side working for your best interests?
The original owner of ISLA was described by superyachtimes.com as a "serial charter aficionado" and requested many customizations to the Majesty 100 throughout the build process.
Beginning at the transom, one of the first requested changes during the build process was to create an extended tender lift platform. Because ISLA would be entertaining multiple guests at one time, the yacht tender had to be sufficient to carry the guests to and from the shore comfortably. This tender lift was large enough for a 17-foot boat. When launched, the platform becomes an extended lounge area right at the water's edge. The aft deck area (below) offers gorgeous views from an 8-person dining table, a perfect place for evening cocktails.
With a beam of 23-feet, Gulf Craft designers had a wonderful opportunity to create an incredible flybridge for relaxing and entertaining with stunning, elevated views. Farthest aft on the upper bridge (below) is an open space for sunbathing and conversation. Moveable furniture allows the owner to create the perfect arrangement for guests on board.
Forward on the flybridge is a bar (below) with four bar stools and everything needed to serve drinks to your guests. There is an enclosed bridge skylounge area with a card table, couch with coffee table, beautiful floors, recessed lighting, and an entrance to the pilothouse. Belgian leather and a beautiful teak wood finish create a sophisticated ambiance.
Upon entering the salon (below) of the Majesty 100 ISLA, you are greeted with warm, natural light, picture-sized windows, and a contemporary atmosphere with bright colors. While the materials and fabrics are of the highest quality, they are also eco-friendly, something the Gulf Craft shipyard strives to incorporate throughout their yachts. Several large, comfortable sofas and chairs allow for socializing in a comfortable environment.
Forward of the main salon seating area is the formal dining space (below). The dining table provides room for 10 guests with a chandelier overhead and windows port and starboard side for views during your meal.
The master stateroom (below) is located forward on the main deck, a feature many yacht owners enjoy as it separates their bedroom from the rest of the guests on board. ISLA's master suite stretches the full beam of the Majesty 100 providing for tremendous space and long-distance cruising amenities. The large king-sized berth has nightstands on either side, ample closet and drawer storage, as well as a seating area next to wide windows.
The owner's en suite private bathroom (below) should not go unmentioned. Enjoy marble countertops, his-and-hers sinks, and a spectacular view from the walk-in shower.
ISLA features 5 staterooms in total, including 4 guest cabins on the lower deck, providing accommodations for up to 10 people. Additionally the aft crew quarters has room for up to 5 staff on this yacht. The VIP guest suite (below) is nearly as spacious and luxurious as the master suite.
The propulsion system on ISLA features twin MAN 1,900HP engines that perform exceptionally well. This Majesty 100 has a cruising speed around 15-16 knots with a top speed of 20 knots. She is equipped with a 4,000 gallon fuel capacity and a 925 gallon fresh water capacity. Additionally, ISLA is equipped with an environmentally-friendly water treatment solution to sustain the yacht during extended trips.
