The "Stugots", the boat made famous by the cult-classic series The Sopranos, has been listed for sale in Stamford, Connecticut with United Yacht Sales broker Paul Ouimette. No longer called "The Stugots", the current name of this 1999 Cape Fear 47 Sportfish is "NEVER ENOUGH".

This is not the first time the iconic sportfishing boat has been listed for sale. "My client purchased this Cape Fear in 2016 mostly because he and his family love to fish," said Paul. "Of course there is a cool factor to having the boat that was in The Sopranos and makes for a great conversation piece. People want to experience a piece of television history."

There are many misconceptions online about what boat Tony Soprano owned. In fact, Tony had three boats throughout the series - The Stugots and The Stugots II. This Cape Fear 47 is the first Stugots from Season 1 of the show. In season 2, what was supposed to be the same Stugots was actually a 43' Egg Harbor. The Stugots II that came along later in the series was a 55-foot Ocean Yacht. That Ocean was the boat in the famous "Whitecaps" episode where Benny and Little Paulie anchor the boat in front of the Sapinsly's beach house and play a Dean Martin concert.

The NEW asking price for the 47 Cape Fear is $274,999. Interest in seeing the boat can be directed to UYS yacht broker Paul Ouimette at (203) 913-2079 or by email at PaulO@UnitedYacht.com

ABOUT THE CAPE FEAR 47 "NEVER ENOUGH"

The Cape Fear 47 is your classic Carolina-style Custom Sportfishing Boat built by Paul Wetsig, a well-known North Carolina builder out of Wilmington. "When my customer purchased the boat, it had been used extensively and needed some work," continued Paul. "From rebuilding one of the engines to updated electronics, and other interior work, it's ready to bring to the market for sale." Notable features & specifications include:

  • Powered by Twin Detroit Diesel DDEC 625HP engines. The port engine has been re-built and has 220 hours. The starboard engine has 2,200 hours.
  • (2) Garmin 8215 Displays with GPS Plotter
  • Open Array Radar
  • Side Scan Sonar
  • Garmin Auto Pilot
  • High-Gloss teak cabinets in the salon
  • 2 staterooms and 2 heads for bringing guests on overnight trips
  • Huge teak cockpit for fighting fish and large fish boxes for bringing them home!
  • Tackle Station keeps you organized while fishing

"My client hates to sell this boat," said Paul. "But his kids are older and the need for a larger sportfishing boat is outweighing holding on to a piece of TV history.

United Yacht Sales is no stranger to selling famous boats. In February of this year, UYS broker Joe Longobardi sold "SEAFOOD", the 60-foot Striker sportfishing boat from the movie Caddyshack. It was listed for sale at $350,000 in Maryland, but is now offered for charter or as an AirBNB in South Carolina.
