Press Release: United Yacht Sales Reports 40% Increase In 2018.

Stuart, Florida (1/8/19): United Yacht Sales, the world’s largest professional yacht brokerage firm with more than 150 yacht brokers worldwide, reported that sales increased more than 40% in 2018. United attributed the growth to an overall strong stock market along with increased marketing efforts and multiple new brokers coming on board.

“We had a very good year,” said Peter Schmidt, owner and CEO of United Yacht Sales. “We re-branded our company this year to better relate to all of the different markets our 25+ offices are in from South Florida to the Northeast, Canada, and across the world. The increase in marketing helped us attract a lot of new brokers that were also interested in our industry-leading commission structure and support team. Combine those factors with a strong economy and we end up selling a lot of yachts. We have a strong momentum going into 2019 as well.

United announced their positive first quarter results at the beginning of the year that saw 113 boats and yachts closed. Changes to the tax code also contributed to several sales that allowed owners to put their boat into charter and deduct the full purchase price as well as any upgrades.

United prides itself on helping all boaters from 20 to over 200-feet and by having a unique ability to sell all different brands and types of boats through the vast network of worldwide brokers. United Yacht Sales sold just under 500 boats and yachts in 2018 highlighted by the following:
