Axopar Boats Yachts For Sale
Axopar was cofounded in 2014 by Jan-Erik Viitala, along with one of the former Aquador team members. Jan-Erik envisioned a boat for fun and adventure and that was able to perform well in the extremely rough sea conditions of his Finnish homeland. Axopar is built by the very experienced company that previously created and produced Aquador, XO Boats, and Paragon Yachts from which the Axopar name derives.

The combined experience and knowledge from the three former brands was distilled into making the Axopar the best overall usable product in the boat industry today. First model was the Axopar 28 featuring the efficient twin-stepped hull and sharp 60-degree plumb bow to slice through wave sets. The Finnish brand, built in Poland, currently offers 22, 25, 28, and 37s in T-top, Open, and Cabin models with other variations and options available. Since Axopar’s introduction in 2014, Axopar has been the recipient of many prestigious awards.
In the following two years, Axopar was awarded Best of Boats 2015, Motorboat Award 2016, and European Powerboat Award 2016. The Axopar 37 was awarded Motorboat of the Year 2017 (Sportsboats and RIBs category). Axopar has since received many more awards, including Best Boat of the Year in USA 2020 for the updated Axopar 28 Cabin. Success of the Axopar 37 introduced in 2016, helped propel Axopar into becoming the major boat builder of all the Nordic countries. In 2020, the engineering and design teams refined the popular Axopar 37 to become the new Axopar 37 Revolution, managing to improve on an already topnotch boat. Today Axopar is represented and sold all over the world, but since 2017, the USA is Axopar’s biggest export market.

Besides Axopar’s striking contemporary European looks, the line is designed for maximum function and great performance. Affordably priced, due to production advantages, the Axopar line appeals to both experienced and new boaters for superior handling, and a fun, fast boat that cuts through chop and waves like a knife. Axopar was designed to ride like a RIB, but without the inflatable collar. The double chines at and above the waterline improve stability and add lift, like the inflatable collar on a RIB. The plumb bow extends the keel further forward to reduce slide for enhanced tracking in turns.
The deep-V hull form has two built-in steps to provide a more level and faster ride as air is pulled into water flow producing an air cushion for less drag that results in the efficiency of greater speed with less power. Less overall weight and a low center of gravity also contribute to Axopar’s stability and performance, producing a dry ride—no spray on windshield! Axopar uses a modular system for greater flexibility in building a cabin, T-top center console, or an open crew boat format, along with available options that can add a cockpit wet bar module, aft cabin/sun deck, or other options to upgrade the standard open aft deck area, such as for fishing. The enclosed pilothouse of the cabin version features captain’s chairs at the helm that can be rotated for socializing at anchor, a sofa with a table, and great visibility. Open transom design allow water to quickly drain.
The versatile Axopar line of boats are great for day trips, fishing, water sports (accessory options available), and other adventures. They are also an excellent choice for superyacht tenders and chase boats with a fast, comfortable, dry ride, soft re-entry in rough seas, and the highest mph rating of any other boat in its class. As an Axopar 37 Sun Top owner commented (paraphrased here) that Axopar is all about speed and performance. A 30-minute jaunt can be done in just 15 on the Axopar (with twin 200hp Mercury outboards). Islands are easily accessed; with Axopar’s speed some can be a day trip, which would require an overnight stay with other boats. Great for offshore whale watching excursions!
Current model range is the Axopar 37XC Cross Cabin; Axopar 37 Sun Top; Axopar 37 Spyder (open runabout speedboat); Axopar 28 Cabin; Axopar 28 T-top; Axopar 28 Open; Axopar 25 Cross Bow, Axopar 22 T-top; and Axopar 22 Spyder. The modern uncluttered helm station fits twin optional touchscreen plotters and features storage, cupholders, leather covered wheel, and more.
Highlights of the Axopar 37 XC Cross Cabin: A blend of rugged functionality with inviting cabin—an all-weather performer that combines outdoor and indoor social spaces and the versatility of outboard center consoles with spacious fully enclosed weatherproofed cabin. Called “Gran Turismo” of the seas! Every bit of space is maximized for socializing and practical living, indoors and outdoors, whether cruising or at anchor. Sliding glass doors and a sliding canvas roof open up the cabin to sun and sea breezes. The optional gull-wing doors open up the front cabin for 3 different access points to the cabin and forward berth, foredeck seating with table or optional large sundeck, along with the optional aft deck modules (and many more options) allow owners to configure the 37 XC amenities to their personal lifestyle.
Wet bar (sink, fridge, and grill), aft sun pad, bench seating, or additional berth are other options for cockpit (aft module), or cockpit can be kept open for fishing or water toys. Axopar offers an optional kitchen module for the salon table (foldable tabletop, 3 storage drawers, sink, tap, plus optional induction or gas cooktop). An optional enclosed toilet compartment that is further upgradable with shower compartment and many more optional amenities, such as Audio Entertainment System packages and roof racks for carrying kayaks and paddleboards, are offered. The advantage of modular construction system and options list allows maximum owner choice with minimum impact to production time and ensures a high standard of quality.
Scandinavian boats tend to be more functional than purely leisure boats in the US or other markets with less extreme conditions. They are efficient, but with space for relaxing at anchor or dock, or for having fun on the water. The two other versions are the Sun Top (ST) with full-length roof and open sides, which was first launched in 2016 as a multi-purpose boat with the perfect combination of open and enclosed boating, and the Spyder, a complete dayboat.
The Axopar 37 Spyder offers the thrill of an open speedboat and is great for dive excursions, wakeboarding or waterskiing. Spyder is easy to dock and store with its low height and weight. It features foredeck seating with table, an accommodating front cabin with an electric head under sofa section (privacy curtain) and septic tank, helm area with rotating sports seats, guest seating and extendable table for socializing or dining. This uber-pleasurable day cruiser or snazzy sports weekender can be personalized and upgraded with optional amenities such as gull-wing doors that open up the front cabin to outside space. The Spyder offers safe, thrilling sport driving with directional stability, cornering grip, safer handling and higher cruising speed. The strong, stiffer hull provides a comfortable, quiet ride. Walkaround deck and integrated boarding steps on both sides of helm. A fully enclosed toilet compartment is optional and consists of Corian top with sink, faucet, and small storage compartment and is further upgradable with a shower compartment. Other options offered include Audio Entertainment System packages and Navigation Electronics.
