INSANDITY is an N37 built by Mirage Manufacturing in Gainesville Florida. She Is Hull #9 of the N37 series (Hull #41 overall) and has been well cared for. The Great Harbour Trawlers N37 is one of the most versatile and most sought after trawlers on the market today. It is known as a “do anything” vessel with a cult following for the ruggedness and extreme ease of maintenance the N37 exhibits.
The engine room on the N37 is recognized as the best on any vessel of its size. It provides standing headroom at a workbench and facilitates complete 360-degree access around each engine. INSANDITY is equipped with TWIN Yanmar 54 hp engines that typically have a service life of over 10,000 hours. The boat is equipped with a fuel polishing system and oil changing system that handles both propulsion engines and the 8 kw genset; The recent owner also had the ability to change the transmission oil plumbed in to the electric auto changer.
The galley in INSANDITY has a full-size refrigerator, four burner electric cooktop, and a microwave/convection oven.
Moving forward from the galley is the head with a spacious shower and separate vacu-flush toilet, vanity sink, and medicine chest with mirror. The head also incorporates a stainless steel opening port, which is one of six on the boat. The recent owner has added a fold out seat to the shower as well.
Forward of the head is the master suite. A full 60" by 80" Island queen berth is set on centerline, flanked by large storage areas that are a combination of hanging lockers and drawers. At the foot of the queen there are also four huge drawers for clothing storage. Installed above the bed are sturdy grab rails to facilitate getting in and out of the bed. Access to the anchor locker has been added to the forward bulkhead from the bed, hidden behind artwork.
Across from the Galley to port is the guest stateroom. This cabin has a convertible day bench settee that converts to a comfortable full-size berth for two with plenty of storage space in drawers beneath. There is a fold down desk arm that also makes the second state room a great office space when the berth is not being used. A small hanging locker rounds out the storage space in the second state room.
The Master, Guest Stateroom, Galley, and head are all on the same level with no steps. A short five steps up from the lower living area is the saloon with the helm station, navigator's bench and large wrap-around settee with folding table, set opposing a starboard-side settee.
The outside areas of the N37 are famous for their protected walkways and super-secure on-deck areas. Access to the dual anchor pulpit in the worst of conditions is confidence-inspiring and safe, thanks to the waist-height rails that wrap around the entire deck. The deck is designed to take any amount of water and quickly drain with no constraints.
