This Hanse 388 Sailing Yacht is ready to set sail on the open ocean. The enormous sail plan makes the Hanse 388 being one of the best performing vessels of its class - featuring the Hanse "Crossover“ sail option, a Gennaker can be attached to the anchor arm. She has the shoal draft keel option.

The new deck layout features the Hanse easy sailing concept with all functions operable from the helm position with one set of winches only. The cockpit combines comfort and safety. The halyard boxes, one large cockpit locker in the starboard cockpit bench and two at the transom keep the deck clean and give stowage for all equipment on board. An anchor arm at the bow and the anchor locker make the anchoring maneuver easy at any time.

Below are the Hanse 388's design features and functions that sets it apart from it's competitors

  • A high rig on the Hanse 388 allows for a large sail area at the masthead. Wind is more stable and has higher wind speeds, at this height, which helps to increase the speed of the vessel and keep a good balance.
  • The 388 has both a steep stern and a straight stem with a stiffer hard chine than the competitors. This design provides a long waterline at any heeling angle and better upwind performance resulting in increased speed.
  • The mainsail has been designed for maximum performance. Included is an adjustable backstay which enables you to change the mast tension and profile of the sail; enabling you to adapt to the wind, on the fly, as it changes.
  • Hanse Yachts invented the integrated self-tacking jib system. All lines go to the helm area on port and starboard. Easy, single handed sailing, allows more time to spend with guests.
  • The deck of this Hanse 388 is very clean and well thought out. All halyards and sheets are hidden beneath the deck and lead straight to the Winches in the cockpit.
  •

The main deck of the 388 has a minimalist, clean design that allows for more freedom of movement. The cockpit is an excellent space for lounging or having a meal with friends and includes a built in cooler with cooling element. The transom gate folds down to extend the sitting area and two lounge seats offer a place to enjoy the sun.

The salon is extremely open and light thanks to the skylights featured on all Hanse Yachts. The materials, wood, and furnishings are all as elegant as possible while also having a sense of practicality. Space is plentiful in the salon and the galley is well-equipped to handle meal preparation for multiple guests.

Light and view below deck are essential and bring the focus to an extraordinary interior styling. The central saloon glass window area is made out of a Size 70 openable flush hatch and a fixed screen. The enormous glass panels next to the glass companion way – with optional „in-glass“ hatches - and four coach roof and two hull windows are completing the concept. Two Size 70 hatches - one with an additional fixed screen – and two hull windows offer light to the forward cabin. A hatch in the coach roof window allows ventilation of the portside head - available for the galley as well.

The settees on both sides can be connected into a huge dining area by the saloon table with its foldable tops. The marine galley can be ordered as short or long version depending on your aft cabin choice. The head is equipped with the Hanse Design washing basin and toilet which is also a shower stall.
