There are very few yards that enjoy such a global acclaim of building long distance cruisers as Hallberg-Rassy. An easy to handle blue water cruiser with great comfort, the HR 54 is an elegant world class vessel.
Characteristic for Hallberg-Rassy layouts are that they are all logical, well arranged and intended to work for long periods on board either at sea or in the harbour.
As expected on a Hallberg-Rassy, the cockpit is very well protected by a Hallberg-Rassy s legendary Hardtop which is generous in size and offers good all-round visibility. It is well suited for the various demands of the most difficult climates from extreme cold to tropical heat. The cockpit offers good shelter from the hardtop with an opening mid section that works perfectly when it is hot as well as a full enclosure for when it is cold . This solution has become synonymous with the modern cruising yacht.
A "Super Cabin" Layout provides 2 high priority spacious cabins with a third cabin for occasional use. Signature Hallberg-Rassy easy chairs in the saloon offer comfortable seating and the one level floors provide easy movement throughout even in choppy seas.
The interior is finished in satin mahogany with carpeting throughout snapped over a teak and holly sole. Large opening ports are provided throughout the vessel.
At the bow is a v-berth with 7' berths for two, or a double berth with infill piece. Lockers and storage are ample. There is a large deck hatch for ventilation and light and a dorade vent for fresh air. Leecloths
Next aft is the super-cabin: to starboard, a sleeping cabin with a double bed, vanity and hanging locker. Leecloths.Candy washing machine.
Directly to port is the forward head with Corian sink and counter tops. The head also has a separate shower stall with Plexiglass doors. Doors fore and aft create a suite out of this section of the boat.
The roomy saloon has a large L-shaped settee to starboard and two easy chairs to port. A strong folding table is set within comfortable reach of the settee and contains drinks cabinet within. Minisafe behind starboard sofa. The large opening hatch (New 2023)
A comfortable Nav Station with chart table and seat is found on the starboard side of the saloon. There is a shelf for electronics and many drawers.
Just aft of the galley on the port side is the entrance to the engine room, which is wide and very spacious. The insulation is extraordinary. Almost of the mechanical equipment is to be found here including engine, generator, heater, pumps, hot water tank.
The aft cabin has a center-line queen bed with a seat on each end and a vanity to starboard. There are two large hanging lockers, a set of drawers and other generous stowage around and under the berth. Leecloths. Over the berth is a large opening hatch (New 2023). 2nd Minisafe in sofa to port. The large en-suite aft head has a separate shower stall with seat and Plexiglas doors, and a Corian wash basin and countertop.
A spacious and practical galley extends down the port side toward the aft cabin. All working surfaces are marbled/white Corian. All around fiddle rail, which is milled so it can be used as a handhold as well.
