the Ferretti 55 MY (previously called the Ferretti 165) was a state-of-the-art, high-performance Italian yacht that offered American buyers something different in contemporary motor yacht design. Her hull is a medium-deadrise deep-V with moderate beam, and the huge swim platform—designed to stow a jet ski inside and a dinghy on top—is an integral part of the hull. The Ferretti’s lush three-stateroom interior follows the trend seen in many European flybridge cruisers with a sunken galley between the salon aft and the elevated helm position forward.
