"I am very proud of our sales, support, and closing teams," said Captain Jeff Palmer, President of UYS. "This is a challenging market. The demand we saw in 2021 and 2022 is just not there. We are seeing more price reductions and more inventory available for buyers. Still, our team was able to close 22% more boats than last year thanks to the focus and hardwork of everyone involved."

While the number of units sold is promising, the average price per sold vessel did drop slightly compared to the same quarter in 2023. "We're definitely beginning to see asking prices normalize from the last few years," said Jeff. "The right boat in excellent condition and priced properly is still selling fast, but anyone that watches the market knows that we have seen an increase in price reductions."
The marine industry MLS service reported over 8,000 price reductions in the last 60 days in the U.S. and Canada. Total used yacht sales were also down by 13% in the first 6 months of 2024 compared to the first 6 months in 2023.
