THIS VESSEL IS CURRENTLY IN JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA AND AVAILABLE FOR SHOWING BY APPOINTMENT.
This is the legendary Great Harbour GH37 trawler - without a doubt, the finest liveaboard trawler you can buy under 70' in length. The 16 foot beam and wide-body design give you a volume inside that makes each room feel like home. The space and features will astound you. A full-size galley with home appliances, Two large heads, large, easily accessible engine room with TWIN fuel-efficient Yanmar diesels, master stateroom with true queen-size island berth and a pilothouse that is unequaled in boats this size.
The interior of this yacht shows beautifully and proves she has been well cared for over the years. Her fuel-efficient 56hp Yanmar diesels allow a comfortable 7 knot cruise while burning less than 2.5 gallons per hour - total! This boat has the legs, safety, space and economy to cruise almost anywhere.
The GH-models are no longer being built and this is a rare chance to own one of the 19 existing GH37s.
Cockpit
The huge cockpit can be entered via swinging coaming doors from either side of the large swim platform. This space has a custom built to spec tackle station, "catch, clean, cook" tackle storage and cookware storage and full eisenglass enclosure complete this wonderful outdoor space.
Decks
Doors on each side of the pilothouse lead to walk-around decks which go forward through the opening Portuguese bridge to the foredeck. There, twin built-in boxes on the front of the bridge have ample storage space. The large bow pulpit holds the two self-launching anchors with all chain rode on a Rocna anchor and 25' of chain on a secondary anchor, with an electric windlass to handle the launch and retrieval chores.
Going aft from the pilothouse and up two steps, we go up onto the boat deck where the new Highfield CL360 dinghy with a 30 hp Tohatsu (less than 50hrs on the motor) sits in chocks, ready to launch via the deck crane. Two more large deck boxes add still more storage for lines, cables, fenders, etc. A folding mast allows you to get the air draft on this GH37 all the way down to 14' 6"!
Saloon
Double doors from the cockpit lead into the wide-body home-like saloon/living room that goes almost the full sixteen-foot beam of the boat. Seating includes a spacious settee to starboard and to port, with a table in front of the port settee that folds out to create a wonderful dining space. Forward, there is a pass-thru to the galley with a large, flat screen television mounted above. Forward down three steps to galley and living accommodations. Up five steps to pilothouse. Custom window treatments and plenty of storage (like everywhere you look on this boat!) Next to the pilothouse staircase is a cabinet for the GE apartment-sized stacked washer and dryer.
Galley
This galley is much more properly called a "kitchen". Home appliances mean that preparing meals and storing food is just like at home. Solid surface countertops, opening portlight, spice racks, and tons of storage complete a kitchen that any gourmet would love.
- NEW 3 burner induction cooktop
- 23 c.f side-by-side Stainless Refrigerator/Freezer with ice and cold water in the door
- Large kitchen sink (single basin)
- Pass-Thru from Saloon
Master Stateroom
The roomy master stateroom is in the bow and boasts a full queen-size island bed with hanging lockers to port and starboard as well as numerous drawers. There is a tremendous amount of additional dry storage under the sole in the "alleys" that reach all the way back to the galley area. In addition, the master stateroom features an ensuite head with outside vanity/sink, medicine cabinet with the electric flush head and large shower in its own room.
To starboard opposite the galley is a space that serves as the boat's office/tool room and also has a second head with an electric flush toilet and a sink.
Pilothouse
The pilothouse on this boat is a delight. The view over the bow is unparalleled and the extensive instrumentation makes navigation a breeze. Aft of the helm is a very comfortable L-Settee that doubles as a dining table for 4 and a fold-down queen-size bed. A small watch berth is above the settee and pilothouse doors on both sides of the helm are invaluable for docking maneuvers. In addition, 360 degrees of opening windows allow fresh air and light to flood in on those beautiful days. This is the space where everyone will congregate while underway.
Engine Room
The large engine room is entered through a hatch in the saloon sole and has plenty of room for easy maintenance on the Yanmar engines. This vessel boasts a lithium house bank (400ah X 2) and a 40gph Seawater Pro dual membrane water maker. There is a 9.5kW generator and a 20 gallon hot water heater.
