PROMISE was originally built for an experienced yachtsman in Southwest Harbor and has spent most of her life being enjoyed summers along the coast of Maine and stored and serviced by excellent Maine yards. Her current owner has stored her inside with Hinckley in Southwest Harbor and has provided annual care and used her lightly in the summers. Some of her more recent updates include:

INTRODUCTION:
PROMISE is a Picnic Boat Classic that easily cruises in style from port to port with full weekend accommodations and provides for comfortable and easy entertaining. Her thoughtful features and appointments, including shallow waterjet draft, easy and intuitive JetStick control system, updated electronics and cushions, make her well equipped for effortless and elegant entertaining, day cruising, or weekending. Complete with galley and private head, she sleeps two comfortably below and offers plenty of pilothouse/cockpit space for numerous guests.
CONSTRUCTION:
HULL and DECK
Construction of the hull is Kevlar E-glass hybrid and balsa core, SCRIMP®ed with Vinylester resin. Deck and cockpit are E-glass and balsa core, molded with polyester resin. The deck and cockpit sole have a molded-in non-skid pattern.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
The open interior layout sleeps two in the v-berth forward and incorporates a galley and separate head. The interior is finished in satin varnished cherry with gloss varnished teak and holly cabin sole and a white v-groove overhead. A large opening overhead hatch with removable screen and two opening portlights provides ventilation and two more fixed portlights provide additional natural light. A small galley and enclosed head provide amenities for overnight accommodations.

GALLEY:

On the aft end of the galley there is a lift-top Adler Barbour 12-volt self-draining refrigerator box. The stainless steel sink has Grohe fixtures and a hot & cold pressure fresh water system.

The galley is separated from the V-berth area by a "pantry" locker with cherry louvered door and several shelves. Additional storage is provided by a cabinet with two cherry louvered lift-up doors outboard above the galley countertop and by an area under the galley sink that holds the trash bin. There are also three cherry-faced drawers below the countertop in the galley.
HEAD:
The head is located opposite the galley to starboard and includes:
- Varnished cherry vanity with an undermounted porcelain sink.
- Grohe faucet/hand shower provides hot & cold pressure water.
- Vacu-flush electric marine head plumbed to holding tank with Y-valve with holding tank monitor
- 110-volt outlet
- Cherry wood trimmed mirror is mounted on the forward bulkhead.
- Sink faucet pulls out to be used as shower and head includes drain with shower sump pump.
- Storage in the head is provided by cherry-faced lockers above and outboard the countertop and by a drawer with cherry face beside the marine head.
