Rachel Ann has clearly been lovingly maintained, presenting herself in remarkable condition for a Hallberg-Rassy 42F MKII. Her care history speaks to this: her first five years were spent in fresh water with indoor winter storage, ensuring a gentle start to her life. Rachel Ann is thoughtfully outfitted for easy, shorthanded sailing, complete with in-mast furling, a bow thruster, and Hallberg-Rassy’s signature comforts like air conditioning and easy chairs. Her 6' 7" draft provides exceptional performance and stability, making her well-suited for bluewater cruising and offshore adventures. This cherished Hallberg-Rassy 42F offers a rare blend of comfort, capability, and careful preservation—ready to deliver countless memorable voyages.

Saloon

The main saloon offers a welcoming space, with an L-shaped settee to port surrounding a robust dining table, complete with center storage for wines and spirits. The back cushions of the settee folds out, revealing generous storage behind, while mahogany handrails and grips add safety and elegance throughout. Hallberg-Rassy’s signature easy chairs to starboard offer ultimate comfort, with additional storage behind. A built-in mini safe provides a secure spot for valuables, adding peace of mind during extended cruising adventures.

Forward Stateroom

The forward stateroom offers a spacious V-berth with a cushioned infill and abundant storage underneath for various belongings. Five opening cabinets surround the berth, providing accessible storage. The room also features a large hanging locker, a dedicated floor-to-ceiling cupboard with shelves, and an additional storage closet with shelves, topped by a practical bureau-style tabletop with fiddles for secure storage.

Forward Head

The forward stateroom features a private head and shower with a china sink, large mirror, white laminate surfaces, and a teak floor grate. Equipped with a Jabsco electric toilet and a holding tank, this head offers practicality and comfort. A dedicated electric pump ensures the shower drains directly overboard, bypassing the bilge. For ventilation, there’s a ceiling hatch and an opening port. Both AC and DC outlets are available.

Aft Stateroom

The aft stateroom is easily accessible from the main saloon and offers a comfortable layout, featuring a double berth to starboard and a single berth to port, with a dressing chair between. An infill between the berths creates a large athwartship berth. The room is surrounded by four spacious storage cabinets, with additional storage accessed via small cabinet doors on the aft wall. A large hanging locker is located on the port side, alongside two bureaus, one with a large tabletop, drawers, and a storage cabinet, and another with a mirror and additional storage.

Ensuite Aft Head

The aft stateroom features its own private head with a china sink, large mirror, and medicine cabinet. A separate shower stall with a seat provides added convenience, and the dedicated shower drain pump ensures wastewater is pumped directly overboard. Ventilation is abundant with an opening port and ceiling ventilator, while both AC and DC outlets are available. The electric toilet completes the space, ensuring comfort and functionality in this private cabin.

Aft Walkthrough

The passageway offers seamless access from the main saloon to the aft stateroom on the port side. It features a spacious hanging wet-locker, two large doors leading to the engine room on the starboard side, and a two-shelf cabinet for storing navigation materials and manuals. Additional storage includes a large cabinet under the companionway ladder, making the passageway both functional and convenient for daily needs.

Navigation Station

The forward-facing nav station is conveniently located behind the port-side settee and offers a spacious desk with a large tabletop and generous compartment underneath. Four drawers and a storage cabinet are located on the exterior side of the desk, with additional compartments under the seat and desk. A lid-top storage compartment to the left of the desk is perfect for navigation books and files. Above the desk, the navigation instruments can be mounted on a panel. Behind the chair, you'll find a top-loading freezer, as well as a large tabletop ideal for chart work. A two-shelf cabinet behind the seat provides extra storage for navigation materials.
