• There is one 30 gallon fresh water tank. The owners decided not to add a second tank for flexibility. The total water storage capacity is 104 gallons - give or take - but to achieve that amount, they stored the water in 1 and 5 gallon containers under the forward berth and in other places. If they don't need all 104 gallons, then the space is available for other uses.

Well thought out refrigeration

This Engel Refrigerator-Freezer is a nice cruising addition to Plane 2 Sea.  It fits snugly on the forward end of the galley table with the opening forward and the controls on the passage side for easy access to the storage and controls.  The unit provides for significant freezer space and can run from shore or solar panel power / batteries.  When underway during the day it can be run entirely off solar power as a freezer.  When underway at night or anchored, the power is turned down lower to maintain freezing while minimizing the drain on the house batteries.

The unit has a removable basket allowing for prep work at home prior to going to the boat.  The power cords (2) are for standard electrical plugs or 12V plugs.  Handles for the unit are included but not used on Plane 2 Sea. 

Also, this unit is used as a fourth seat at the galley table while not impeding access to the galley by allowing the passageway to remain unblocked.
