Always kept in the primarily fresh waters of the Northern Chesapeake Bay, loaded with options, and with the larger D8 power plant, this Riviera 4600 is in turnkey condition and ready for immediate sale and delivery. Full engine and pod warranty in place until 2028.
With three true staterooms, two heads (both dry heads, not wet), and a large storage garage, the Riviera 4600 feels much larger than any other cruiser in it’s class. The Platinum Package and paint job give the boat a very modern style that rivals even the sleekest of boats. Unlike other brands that prioritize modern exterior lines, Riviera still offers superb build quality, onboard comfort, and a solid ride, which all help to create a much more user-friendly experience than European-built boats. Those boats are primarily built for crew, while Riviera is built with the owner operator in mind, which makes them a much more straightforward, accessible, and serviceable boat than most.
Built on Australia’s Gold Coast, all Riviera’s feature a three-quarter keel and are heavily constructed to combat the unrelenting conditions of Australian waters, making them deep-water boats that provide comfort in conditions where most brands cannot. Watertight bulkheads and redundant systems give peace of mind and allow the owner to trust the boat on a deeper level than most boats. All Rivieras feature opening windows wherever possible, plenty of storage, and plenty of refrigeration space, all of which translate well for those who want to spend extended time aboard. Australians are true boaters, they want to spend lots of time onboard and want to be able to cruise comfortably while also having enough space to entertain friends and family – this translates to a boat well laid out and suited for the American market as well.
Ordered new by an experienced boater, lots of thought was put into the build put into the build. Below is a list of upgrades, factory customizations, and options:
The beam is carried very far forward which give plenty of room when handling the anchor or washing down the foredeck. The added beam also helps to create a bow sunpad that is truly wide enough for three people, complete with folding backrests that lock into place and offer various degrees of support. The superstructure surrounding the sunpad is elevated off the deck, which allows for the two storage areas to easily drain onto the deck. Stainless steel grab handles, cupholders, and a Fusion stereo round out creature comforts for those lounging on the foredeck.
The sleek, angled hardtop overhangs the windshield to offer a more aggressive look, while also protecting the windshield wipers and windshield from water spots as well as providing an area to subtly install bow speakers. All exterior hardtop electronics have been painted black to compliment the Riviera Platinum paint job on the hardtop. Continuing to emphasize exterior style and aesthetics, Riviera uses grey caulking on their teak decks – a simple change that makes a big difference. The decks look more subdued and offer a welcome change from the traditional look of teak decks with black caulking.
The swim platform is hydraulic with a lifting capability of 300 kilograms, more than enough to haul and retrieve a good-sized RIB tender. The boat also has a garage for storing water toys and equipment. The garage door opens to a large angle that creates shade and gives good head room when walking around the platform. Speakers in the garage along with a shelf and removable swim platform rails help to create a beach club type feel on the swim platform allowing to be more than just an area to get on and off the boat.
The cockpit has an oversized L-shaped seating that wraps all the way forward to the sliding salon door. The sofa has a modern “floating” look with upholstered bolsters and underlit blue strip lights. A folding high-gloss teak and holly table has integrated stainless steel cupholders and grab handles. The garage is accessed from the seat bottom of the forward-facing cockpit bench, which makes it much easier to get fenders, lines, lifejackets, etc. out of the garage without opening the garage door. Opposite the cockpit seating is a fully complimented wet bar with sink, grill, icemaker, and refrigerator. Color changing overhead lights, a cockpit sun awning, and sliding sunroofs round out a comfortable cockpit well suited for entertaining.
The galley is aft of the salon – a staple of Riviera. The way most Americans boat, the galley is a central part to entertaining. Being able to get to the galley easily and conveniently is an essential part of keeping guests comfortable. Forward galleys create bottlenecks of people venturing in and out before returning to the cockpit. With an aft galley, those in the galley are still in the social circle of both the cockpit and salon, and therefore not isolated from guests. The salon has a three-sided wrap around sofa with dinette table that folds for more space. With the push of a button, a cleverly hidden Salon TV articulates up forward of the sofa. Riviera uses durable vinyl flooring instead of traditional wood floors. The look and feel are near identical, but vinyl flooring doesn’t fade and can be easily repaired or entire planks swapped out without standing apart from the original floor.
The helm is fit for even the most demanding captain. Utilizing the boats CZone power distribution system, the captain can engage all individual circuits, as well as preset circuit groups and monitor all elements of the boat from the dedicated CZone display. Twin Garmins, backlit dash switches, a dedicated Volvo engine display, Fusion stereo, and chain counter round out the full complement of electronics. When the weather allows, the entire salon is easily opened for fresh air. Sliding windows at the port and starboard forward windshield, a sliding salon sunroof, and a popup aft galley window let plenty of cross ventilation underway or at rest.
The corridor is also planked in commercial grade vinyl flooring to match the salon and galley. A full height linen closet has been customized with a wine cooler, but pre-plumbed for later install of a washer and dryer, one of the many customizations and care that was put into the build by a long time yacht owner.
Rare to find in this size boat, the master stateroom sits full beam and aft. Well equipped with rich high-gloss walnut cabinetry and loads of interior storage, the cabin has more than needed for long stays aboard. A port side chaise lounge, dedicated bathroom, full hanging closet and television with soundbar all add up to create very comfortable accommodations.
The forward VIP stateroom is almost entirely island style which makes getting around and making up the bed much easier than most forward staterooms of this size. The stateroom has plenty of storage overhead and under the bed along with two hanging lockers. A deck hatch, TV, and dimmable lighting keep any guests comfortable. A double bunk guest stateroom round out sleeping accommodations of six for the entire boat, not including any who would like to sleep on the salon or cockpit sofa.
