The Cockpit and Helm Area

Stepping aboard the Jeanneau Leader 12.5 is easy via the starboard side entry door, you are immediately welcomed into its twin cockpits on the main deck, ahead and behind the hardtop-protected helm console, offer flexible seating, sunning and dining options for those who prize a life afloat in open-air surroundings. The deck area is thoughtfully laid out to optimize both relaxation and functionality.

• Cockpit: The aft cockpit is packed with imaginative features, including a roomy L-shaped lounge with an aft seatback that folds aft to form a comfy sun pad, and with a fiberglass table on removable legs. Engage a switch to reveal the electric drop-down terrace to port, increasing the entertaining space. An optional remote-controlled SureShade sun-awning adds full protection from the sun. This space is perfect for alfresco dining, socializing, or simply enjoying the sea breeze. A wide walk-around deck to port leads to the forward cockpit, which offers raised triple chaise lounge seating facing forward with additional bench seating in the bow. Options like a portable table and filler cushion reimagine the forward cockpit as a private sun pad.

• Helm Station: Forward of the aft cockpit is the helm station, which is designed with the captain’s comfort and convenience in mind. The helm is equipped with state-of-the-art navigation instruments, including a multifunction display, GPS, VHF radio, FLIR and Joy-stick electronic controls. The adjustable helm seat and ergonomic dashboard layout ensure that all controls are within easy reach, allowing for smooth and efficient vessel handling.
