Step into the legacy of a sailing icon with this 1967 Hinckley Bermuda 40 Yawl—a classic yacht celebrated for its timeless beauty, masterful craftsmanship, and exceptional sailing performance. Lovingly maintained and stored indoors, this Bermuda 40 is ready for her next adventure. Her striking lines and distinctive yawl rig provide an ideal blend of elegance, stability, and versatility, making her equally suited for day sails or extended offshore voyages. She turns heads in every harbor!
Notable upgrades and improvements include a new transmission and friction plate, updated radar and GPS systems, and fresh batteries. Recent enhancements also feature a new radio, most running rigging replaced, anchor rode(s) with a new stern anchor, and new sails and dodger. The Hinckley-crafted teak and stainless-steel boarding step adds a touch of elegance, while newly replaced manual and electric bilge pumps ensure safety. Inside, you'll find classic additions such as a Weems & Plath clock, barometer, gimballed oil lantern, and a Fynspray bronze galley hand pump. Luke tiled fireplace.
One significant modification is the replacement of the original masts with Hood Stoway masts, extending the main by 5 feet for improved windward performance and the convenience of furling for easy sail handling. This is a rare opportunity to own a piece of maritime history, ideal for those who value the combination of classic design, thoughtful upgrades, and enduring quality.
