Michael grew up in Tampa and Fort Myers Florida and spent his youth around the water and boating. In the mid-’70s, Michael’s job relocated him to Marathon, in the Florida Keys. “All things boating” became his pastime. Collectively, he spent 20 years living the Keys lifestyle with his family.
Michael worked for SYSCO Food Services, the largest institutional food distributor, for over 20 years. He held positions both locally and nationally in management, marketing, sales, and procurement. Great customer service results were always his top priority. Upon returning to Key Largo for a change of lifestyle, he began working in the marine business at various levels, (retail, wholesale, services, and sales). This has continued for 21 years.
He obtained his yacht broker’s license and was associated with 2 established yacht brokers. In 2016, he and his son, Ian, decided to start Stellar Yacht Sales. They opened the office in Islamorada, Florida. Their local knowledge of South Florida brought them success and expanded their client base to the Southeast U.S., Caribbean, and Latin America. Stellar Yacht Sales joined United Yacht Sales in 2018. The decision to partner with an international company and the availability of 250+ licensed yacht brokers was made to better serve their clients.
Since 1995, Michael has belonged to IBYA and various local and national sail and powerboat organizations.
The job of finding, marketing, and selling vessels, both power and sail has resulted in a client base of referrals and return clients, many of which have become friends.
Michael is currently splitting his time serving Florida clients and building a client base in Texas. He will professionally list your vessel or will find the best vessel for purchase. Meeting and exceeding the client’s criteria and best interest at heart.
