Melissa grew up in Orlando, FL., though native to Myrtle Beach, SC. In 2007, before even graduating high school she joined the US Army, becoming a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. She spent much of her time jumping out of airplanes, and training as the 2nd Brigades' Preventive Medicine Specialist and her unit’s Armorer. Before transitioning to her reserve unit (in 2012) she was deployed to Port Au Prince, Haiti following a devastating earthquake in 2010 as part of the Global Ready Force. She was promoted to Sergeant during a deployment to Afghanistan in 2013 and ultimately left the military in 2015 to experience new horizons.
Melissa began to pursue her Associate in Arts degree prior to switching and obtaining her cosmetology license. Melissa began working for United Yacht Sales in March 2021 assisting the Closing Department. Her responsibilities include communicating with our many sales brokers on their respective closings, helping set up the closing process, Coast Guard, and state Documentation, helping with Sales Tax reporting, supporting the Accounts Payable/Receivable, and anything else she can be of assistance with.
Melissa brings her experience in sales, structure, and risk management to UYS. She has a knack for attention to detail and problem-solving from her military experience in disaster recovery and occupational health. She still likes to practice cosmetology as a hobby and continues to keep her license. Melissa lives in Port St Lucie with her husband and their family. Their hobbies include fishing and cooking.
