Tempest's original owner sailed her for 35 years in Penobscot Bay, and she was known as "the Friendship with the tan bark sails and oil lamps." Her second owner made many upgrades; namely adding electrc wiring for navigation and cabin lights, new sails, and general upgrades in equipment and hull and deck maintenance. Her current and third owner purchased her in 2020, added the electric motor, batteries, wiring, and solar panels, as well as maintaining her. Unfortunately, he and family are relocating due to his job so they are selling her. Tempest is a beautiful replica of the Friendship Sloop named Pemaquid, built in 1914. She's a well-cared for sloop whose classic lines bring the observers and the sailors back to traditional sailing.
United Yacht Sales is pleased to assist you in the purchase of this vessel. This boat is centrally listed by Newman Marine Brokerage. It is offered as a convenience by this broker/dealer to its clients and is not intended to convey direct representation of a particular vessel
