SOLARIS 60 OPEN

Solaris Yachts has announced a new model - the 60 Open. The teams of Brunello Acampora of Victory Design and Solaris Power have expanded upon their popular walk-around style yacht which was highly regarded in both the 44 Open and 48 Open.

"The 60 Open will re-define the walk-around open boat category in yachting," said Juan Morillo, United Yacht Sales broker and Solaris dealer. "It combines all of the socializing characteristics of the previous models, only in larger versions, with the exceptional performance that Solaris is known for. Owners will have comfort at anchor and while cruising."

Please stay tuned for more information on the new 60 Open as it becomes available. For more information on pricing and availability of Solaris inventory, please contact Juan Morillo at 1-305-917-3758 or by email at JuanMorillo@UnitedYacht.com

Beginning aft, the 60 Open features a wide swim platform with teak, that keeps the heat low and offers a perfect spot to launch for scuba or snorkeling. If kids are on the boat, it becomes a great launchpad for cannon balls! A tender garage aft opens to reveal a space for your tender or other water toys. When closed, an extra-large sunpad lets you bask in the sun while enjoying the view from the back of the boat. An adjustable headrest and pillows, along with convenient drink holders, make this a pleasant area to enjoy your trip.

Forward of the sunpad, the 60 Open begins to really shine thanks to its exceptional layout which encourages socializing and fun. Two large pedastal tables, with a space in between for movement, are surrounded by sofas and loveseats that can easily fit 10 or more guests. A hidden flatscreen television on the portside and forward of the couch can be electrically raised. Adjacent to the television is a wetbar with BBQ grill, refrigerator, ice maker, and storage to keep you and your guests entertained at all times.

The helm stations is starboardside and has an ergonomically designed dashboard featuring all of the monitoring systems and navigational equipment needed to operate the 60 Open safely. The Volvo joystick and docking system help alleviate the stress of returning to a marina or stopping for fuel. There are two comfortable helm seats on the starboard side behind the dash, as well as on the portside for guests.

Moving forward, the foredeck lounge offers a spacious and inviting area for cocktails, sunbathing, or enjoying the ocean views. As with the Solaris 44 Open, there is a convenient front seat forward that is delightful during a slow cruise. The large sunpad offers a spacious and comfortable place to enjoy the sun with convenient drink holders and adjustable headrest.

Heading below deck, Solaris spares no expense on creating pleasant accommodations for overnight trips. Owners have a choice of two layouts when customizing your own new build.  Version A features a forward cabin with a queen berth in the bow, a midship cabin with a queen berth, two heads, and a crew cabin forward of the engine room. Version B splits the midship cabin into two separate cabins, each with side-by-side bunks, along with a forward cabin with queen sized berth. Version B also features the same size crew cabin and placement.

For performance, Solaris has chosen Volvo Penta IPS engines for their reliability, fuel efficiency, and low vibrations. Owners can choose either D6 IPS 800 600HP engines or the D6 IPS 950 725HP models. The max speed with the largest engines is estimated at 38 knots with a 29 knot cruise speed.
