The new Solaris 40 Open emphatically sets a new standard for a 43-footer in volume, layout design, and performance. "Owners can expect a soft, dry, but exhilarating ride," said Juan of the new 40 Open. "When powered with the Volvo Penta D6 440 engines, the 40 Open can reach speeds above 40 knots and cruise very comfortably at 27 knots. This is a luxuriously comfortable yacht that is a perfect fit for the South Florida lifestyle." The 40 Open uses the Volvo Penta sterndrives rather than the IPS pods, resulting in a fast, agile experience behind the steering wheel.
There are multiple variations of the 40 Open for owners to customize their own when building a new boat. As you can see below, there is a version with 2 cabins, as well as a single cabin version. The single cabin version gains an extra-large storage room that can be customized for your needs. In both versions, the master suite is located in the bow.
The Solaris 40 Open also comes in a variety of colors (seen below). Brunello Acampora and Victory Design, along with the Solaris Shipyard Power design team, is credited with creating this strikingly beautiful yacht.
The popular walk-around deck design allows for easy movement on the 40 Open between the bow and stern sunbeds. Underneath the aft sunbed are three large, hidden lockers that can stow all of your gear. There is plenty of space on board for multiple guests to never feel too crowded. The 40 Open can be equipped with a sleek-looking T-Top, but looks just as elegant without one.
Three captain's chairs provide comfortable seating during longer trips. Whether you're cruising down the coast to the Keys or crossing the Gulf Stream to Bimini, the 40 Open will take you there safely and comfortably. Although designed for luxury day boating near a sandbar or on-water restaurant, the 40 Open has a hull shape that has proven to be exceptionally seaworthy. Behind the helm station and captain's chairs is an al fresco dining table for up to six guests.
The master suite (seen below) features a large, double-sized berth with light woods, open hatches for ventilation and light, and separate head/shower. If the 2-cabin version is chosen, the guest cabin features side-by-side bunks.
Also on display at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show is the Solaris 44 Open (seen below). Similar to the 40 Open in on-deck seating and layout, it also features an exterior open galley, single-mast hard-top, two cabins with optional two queen berths, and bow/stern sunbeds.
