The modern profile of the Silverton 442 is highlighted by the long, sweeping foredeck and convenient aft cockpit. If you are in search of a clean, well-cared-for cockpit motoryacht, “SS GRATEFUL” will offer you the best combination of condition, equipment, spaciousness and value to be found in today's boat market.

The convenience of the multi-level design will serve cruisers, divers and dockside entertainers equally well. Transom door access from the swim platform leads to the cockpit, which includes an upholstered aft bench seat, with fender and line storage hidden beneath. The cockpit is large enough to accommodate your swimming or diving party, or extra lounge chairs for sunning. A full-height sliding glass door will allow direct access from the cockpit to the master stateroom. A molded staircase leads from the cockpit to the fully sheltered aft deck.

The aft deck includes a large bench seat, full weatherboards with coaming pads, entertainment center with ice maker, wet bar, cutting board, ice chest and cabinets and the full protection of a custom canvas enclosure and acrylic wing doors. This area is comfortably carpeted with snap in carpets and features sufficient area to add additional chairs or a table.

Just a few steps up from the aft deck is the flybridge, with a triple-width helm bench seating console, with captain's chair centered with armrests. The helm console and controls are perfectly positioned for ease of use and viewing, with electronics neatly installed to starboard and a tilt wheel offering comfortable driving positions while seated or standing. A large bench seat for guests, with extensive storage beneath, covers the full forward width of the control console.

Foredeck access along either side is via a traditionally shaped flat gunwale, with stainless handrails and bow rails providing a feeling of safety. The foredeck area includes a large sunpad, with drink holders nearby, plus a deep molded anchoring well -- which will provide excellent footing and safety while tending bow lines, fenders or anchor.

Enter the cabin through a sliding smoked Lexan door from the aft deck. The cabin is enriched by beautiful cherry cabinetry and trim with matching furniture and carpets. The salon, with a full row of storage cabinets and entertainment center to port, is furnished with a large L-Shaped lounge (converting to sleep two) to starboard, with a hi-low cocktail table. The "great room" effect is enhanced by large side windows (with blinds) and forward windshield, which can be covered in canvas for complete privacy.

Step down and forward to the starboard galley and port side dinette level. The galley features a hardwood floor, full-size fridge and freezer, outstanding countertop area and an abundance of cabinets and drawer storage. The large booth-style dinette offers fore and aft seating. Both the galley and dinette offer direct communication with the main salon.

Further forward the private stateroom includes a pedestal queen berth, dual cedar-lined hanging lockers, overhead hatch and port and starboard ventilating ports, plus private access to the forward head compartment. The forward head includes a vanity, head and separate shower stall with a Lexan enclosure.

Return aft through the salon to access the master stateroom. Uniquely arranged with the headboard of the double island berth along the stateroom's forward bulkhead, the master stateroom provides plenty of open floor space and the convenience and light of a full slider door accessing the cockpit. A double hanging locker, cedar-lined, is to port, along with a vanity and dresser with a TV mounted atop. The master head is to starboard, with a neatly concealed pocket door for privacy. Like the forward head, this compartment also includes a large, Lexan enclosed shower, vanity and head.

Large galley is located down a few steps from the main salon and offers both excellent storage and food preparation space.
