1997 42’ Silverton 402 Motoryacht
“For Pete’s Sake” is very well equipped with economical Cat diesel engines, diesel generator, 3 zone A/C, and full electronics. With two staterooms, two en-suite heads, full galley, large dinette, bright salon, and large aft sun deck, this is as good as it gets in a 42’ motor yacht.
Recent updates include new exhausts and turbo, new HDTV, new DVD, new stereo, new radar, new batteries, new toilet, and more. During a recent haul-out for insurance survey, fresh bottom paint, props reconditioned, topsides polished, and other dry dock maintenance was performed, so “For Pete’s Sake” is turn-key ready for winter cruising in Florida, the Bahamas, and beyond.
Boarding is easy from high docks via both port and starboard side deck gates, or from low docks via the Euro style transom/swim platform. The flybridge features a center-line helm with seating for the captain and two mates either side plus a bench seat forward for more guests. The aft deck features a wet bar and icemaker, and is fully enclosed with screened isinglass.
A few steps down from the aft deck, the bright and airy main salon features a sofa to starboard with storage under, and the entertainment center to port. The aft master stateroom has a queen bed and en-suite head with separate shower stall. The mid-level galley and dinette are open to the main salon. The guest cabin is all the way forward with a double entry head with step-in shower.
The bright and airy main salon has wall-to-wall carpeting, cherry wood cabinetry, built-in entertainment center, a large “L” shaped settee, coffee table, and designer window treatments with mini blinds.
The air conditioned master stateroom features wall-to-wall carpeting, an island queen bed with designer coverlets and matching headboard, nightstands, make-up mirror, a double door closet, and a hanging locker.
The en-suite head has a separate stall shower.
The guest cabin forward features a double bed with custom fitted bedding, a hanging locker, and separate entry into the forward head with separate shower stall.
The forward head compartment has two entry doors.
The fully equipped galley is a few steps down from the salon, with the large dinette opposite to port. The galley and dinette are open to the salon, and the forward windshields provide plenty of light and airiness to this area.
The aft sundeck is fully enclosed with Sunbrella and isinglass panels with screens. For entertaining there is a wet bar and icemaker.
The flybridge, four steps up from the aft deck, has a center-line adjustable helm seat with mate seats on both sides. There is also a bench seat forward of the helm for additional guests. The bimini and full isinglass enclosures protect the flybridge from the elements.
“For Pete’s Sake” is exceptionally well equipped with all the amenities for comfortable cruising and living aboard, and is priced for a quick sale. Anyone shopping for a diesel powered yacht in this size range should not hesitate to inspect “For Pete’s Sake”!
