SeaVee was founded in 1974 by Capt. Don McGee, a charter boat captain in Miami, who wanted to custom build boats capable of enduring the rigors of charter fishing. In 1993, Ariel Pared, a customer who loved his 31 SeaVee Center Console, and 2 partners bought SeaVee and built SeaVee into a major Florida fishing boat brand. "HAT TRICK" features the current SeaVee Z Series twin stepped, cross-ventilated hull with patented SpeedRail(R) technology giving the Z Series superior speed, safe predictable handling, and fuel efficiency advantages, especially over other stepped-hull center consoles. The 39ft length of the SeaVee 39Z is ideal for this technology, and is capable of planing at low speeds and comfortably cruising through rough seas and tightly spaced waves at high speeds. Co-owner Ralph Torres and SeaVee's designer, Robert Kaidy of Ocean5 naval architects, developed the high-performance stepped hull with SpeedRail(R) running bottom to overcome certain drawbacks of stepped hulls, and SeaVee's Z Series is the result--tracking is true and turns are sharp. Bow rise is no more than 3 degrees accelerating to plane and doesn't "stuff or plunge" in heavy down seas, as lifting features create a geometry that ensures a "fixed trim angle" through a wide range of speeds. And with quad Mercury Verado 350s, 2021 SeaVee 390Z "HAT TRICK" can do a blazing 60-80 mph for a run to the Bahamas or that special fishing spot ahead of the crowd!
