This 1980 Robert Perry Seamaster 46 was built in Taiwan by the Lien Hwa yard. Center cockpit with two staterooms and two heads. A very open Pilothouse design that provides great visibility while at anchor or underway and the ability to drive/sail the boat from the inside helm. Interiors are bright and airy with large hatches and quality Taiwanese teak interior accents. Bob Perry put a performance twist on a traditional motorsailer design resulting in an all-weather, blue-water, long distance cruising motorsailer.
The aft section has a unique open aft cockpit with a transom door and swim step, great for swimming, snorkeling, diving, fishing and accessible from the master suite. At 25 Tons, her weight generates a beautiful motion on all points of sail. Her momentum carries her through chop, and in a light breeze she falls off with ease. For a vessel of her weight, she surprises many with her turn of speed in light conditions. Her generous modified fin keel has the safety of a skeg hung rudder. With high bulwarks and high lifelines, heavy layup and oversized rig, she is a safe, strong, long distance cruising platform, or a truly comfortable live aboard.
Step aboard at midship with ample room moving forward with blue water bulwarks, 2 large opening hatches forward, 4 mid ship and 2 aft. An easy step up to mast base with all running rigging led aft. All winches are oversized. The hard bimini is sturdy with heavy weather struts, fasteners opening hatch and solar panels. Removable wheel for comfort and eye level instrument pod. Heavy weather solid aluminum sliding hatch with metal hatch closing levers. The center cockpit is nicely elevated for good viewpoints and easy access to lower exterior cockpit with transom door and integrated wins step. Port and starboard benches with cushions provide unique and private lounging areas apart from the main cockpit. Overall, she easy to maneuver with lots of safety features.
Below decks and full forward on center-line port is an offset Pullman style double guest berth with storage underneath. Separate entrance to the master head. To starboard, is a large hanging closet and shelf, underneath is a double cabinet with a drawers. There are two port lights, one starboard and one port and one cabin fan.
Moving aft, the main head is to port, with separate shower. Opposite the head is a full hanging locker, big enough to almost walk into. The galley is on the port side opposite the inside helm station. Behind the helm station is a full nav station with lots of storage. The large U-Shaped, raised convertible dinette is on the port side with the settee on starboard. The main pilothouse salon has a 270 degree view standing or sitting. Generous 6’4” headroom throughout.
Lots of storage underneath and behind the dinette and settee. Above the galley and the inside helm station are two large opening deck hatches fore and aft providing excellent air flow. Above the dinette is an additional opening hatch.
Back topside is a completely enclosed center cockpit with hard bimini with 7 solar panels. Helm station with instruments, wrap around cushions.
The main salon must be seen to be believed. Immediately upon stepping down into the salon, you see and feel the unique design of what makes an amazing Robert Perry designed pilothouse motorsailer so desirable. The raised port U-Shaped dinette opposite a bench settee has plenty of seating for 8 adults. It’s light airy décor, oversized windows and open floor plans makes you feel more like you are on a large motor yacht than on a monohull sailboat. Much of what contributes to the open feeling is full standing 6’4” standing headroom from stem to stern. Whether it’s comfortably motoring/sailing inside during a storm or peacefully hanging on the hook, the interior of this boat is just something you have to see and feel to appreciate.

With six opening hatches and private access through double hatchway to aft cockpit, it is unusually spacious, light and airy.
