2006 Sea Ray 580 Sedan Bridge
The Sea Ray 580 Sedan Bridge was in production from 2006 to 2013, as a sportier luxury flybridge motoryacht with the sleek, low profile, deck layouts, and large cockpit similar to sportfish yachts, but with the obvious difference in purpose. The Sedan Bridge is designed for comfortable long-distance cruising, and entertaining like a flybridge motoryacht. The Sedan Bridge is focused on entertaining and socializing with the cockpit, bridge and main salon configured with plenty of seating, tables, wet bars, gourmet galley and more for enjoying life on the water in comfort and style. Sea Ray loaded the 580 Sedan Bridge model with standard items and also offered a number of optional equipment, allowing owners to personalize their yacht.
Sportfish yachts will also have great accommodations and areas for entertaining and socializing, but they are purposed and custom outfitted as “battlewagons” for tournaments and hardcore offshore fishing with huge cockpits, towers, outriggers, livewells, fishboxes, bait freezers, rod holders, cockpit fighting chair and are powered for speed to the fishing grounds and therefore, higher priced.
This 2006 Sea Ray 580 Sedan Bridge features spacious 3-stateroom/3-head accommodations, a large cockpit with built-in seating and Clarion surround-sound. Access to SLY FOX’s flybridge is via eight molded fiberglass steps from the cockpit, not a ladder! Flybridge features the standard hardtop with a canvas and EZ2CY/Strataglass enclosure. Well-arranged air-conditioned helm has updated electronics, ZF controls, bow thruster controls, and power-assisted hydraulic steering. Excellent all-around visibility for helmsman and great views for guests seated on the forward settee that wraps around a pedestal table with 4 built-in cupholders. Amenities include Clarion surround sound, wet bar with sink, icemaker, and fridge. Bridge deck extends to shade forward cockpit and salon entry glass sliders. Luxuriously appointed with gloss finished cherrywood and granite countertops, the main deck salon features a fully equipped galley and dinette forward on same level. Companionway steps lead to belowdecks accommodations and a stacked washer and dryer. The modified-V hull with 17o aft deadrise and powered with the preferred 900 hp MAN common rail diesels, performs well, cruising at 24-26 knots, topping at just over 30 knots.
