2001 Sea Ray 48' Groovin

As you walk up to GROOVIN you will immediately understand the beauty of the Sea Ray 480 Sedan Bridge.  You enter by stepping onto the extended swim platform and through the transom door into the cockpit.  The cockpit has factory teak decks which are in excellent shape and look great.  Aft is a storage seat and transom storage.  Along the port and starboard sides are storage cabinets and a step up to the wide side decks.  Maneuverability forward is excellent with safe stainless steel handrails and railings. The original bow cushions were old and were discarded (never replaced).  Back in the cockpit and on the port side are molded steps to the bridge.  Under the steps are an additional electrical panel, battery switches and generator gauges and controls.

Up the 8 steps you enter the large bridge deck protected with a hardtop and full enclosure.  There is a safety door to close off the bridge from below.  Forward is a wet bar and storage and along the starboard side is a beautiful C-shaped seating arrangement with a large table.  The helm is aft and centered with all gauges and electronics within easy reach.  The helm offers a 360-degree view of the surrounding area.  There are two very comfortable helm chairs with flip up bolsters.

Back to the cockpit the salon sliding door is a heavy stainless steel door with a sliding screen.  Slide open the door and enter the massive salon.  To port is an L-shaped settee which electrically converts into a berth and aft is a small storage cabinet.  There are two small ottomans to rest you feet on with storage under the tops.  On the starboard side is a nice brown leather stress-less chair and the entertainment center and electrical panel in a cabinet.  Forward and to port is the fore and aft seat dinette and across from the dinette to starboard is the large galley area with plenty of food preparation and storage spaces.  The interior fabrics, valances, shades and new carpets are match the high gloss Cherry interior perfectly.

Down a few steps you enter the cabin areas.  To port is the VIP cabin with a queen size berth and ample storage.  The VIP cabin has an entrance into the guest head which features a separate shower enclosure, vanity and Vacu-Flush head.  Across is the guest cabin with a unique berth arrangement.  One berth is fore and aft while one is aft and athwart ship.  In the cabin is a cabinet which features a combination washer and dryer and forward behind the entry door is a large locker currently used as a pantry.  Forward and to port is guest access into the guest head.  All the way forward is the master cabin with a center-line king size berth.  The master cabin has a port locker with a mirrored door and storage shelves and the starboard locker is a hanging locker and has a mirrored door. Port and starboard there are storage cabinets outboard of the berth and a small storage shelf under the cabinets.  The head board is mirrored.  Along the starboard side aft is private access into the master head with a Vacu-Flush head, vanity and storage cabinets and a separate shower stall.

The main electrical panel is located in a starboard side salon cabinet.  An additional cabinet is under the steps to the bridge.
