The Sabreline 36 Fast Trawler is a wonderful Maine built cruiser that fits very need for coastal cruising. She’s a two-stateroom vessel with a shower and head forward, and a head with separate stall shower aft en-suite in the Master Stateroom, with a centerline walk-around berth. Galley is up with all necessary appliances, large Salon area and plenty of light with the large opening windows all around "MAKALANI" has cruising speeds of 16 knots and tops out in the low 20’s. Her deck and cabin have been repainted Awlgrip in 2020 with NO spider cracks. The classic downeast lines combined with the quality of a Sabreline, makes her all the more handsome.
This little yacht has sleeping accommodations for six – two in the Master Stateroom on an island double, two at the Convertible Dinette in the Salon, and two in the Forward V-Berth. There are two full Heads, a mid-ship Galley and Salon with large dinette with plenty of seating. There are side deck entrance doors on both the port and starboard. There are two steps on both sidedecks up to the truck cabin top, then on up to the flybridge. The flybridge easily seats eight with seating on both sides of a table and at the helm and crew pedestal chairs. There is a small cockpit aft deck, aft of the trunk cabin with molded in swing down steps to the swim platform.
The Salon is an all-in-one area with the Dinette and Galley and lower Helm. There is a door to aft port to the sidedeck, and a door forward to starboard by the lower Helm to go on to the starboard deck. The lower Helm is starboard forward and is a full helm with all controls, electronics and instrumentation, and is well laid out with great visibility. The portside U-Shaped dinette easily seats four to a large table. The table lowers down to fiddles to make a convertible berth with the filler foam stored under the L-Shaped settee. There is a Teak and Holly sole and the entire Salon/Galley area is finished in warm cherry wood. The window coverings are white wooden blinds with valence materials matching the settee throw pillows. The cushions on the settee are a lovely maroon color in excellent condition.
The straight Galley is located to portside with plenty of counter space and drawer/cabinet space below. There is an upright two-door refrigerator/freezer located aft of the portside door. Just next to the refrigerator is a built-in microwave above the passageway to the Master Stateroom. The TV is mounted on top of a shelf above the refrigerator.
The Master Stateroom is aft and down three steps from the Salon. It has an island double berth with storage on both sides and an exit to the deck aft starboard. It has a hanging locker and a private en-suite Head with separate Stall Shower. This is a great Stateroom for this size boat; it has lots of natural lighting and good ventilation with opening ports and aft entry. It has a Teak and Holly sole with lovely cherry woodwork throughout.
The En-Suite Head has its own storage and lots of it; a long counter and stainless steel sink. It has a large separate stall shower with a light and window for natural light and ventilation. It has a Raritan electric Head which flows to the holding tank for overboard discharge or deck pumpout.
Down three steps from the Salon centerline is a large two person Stateroom with the Day Head access within. It has lots of storage, hanging locker, good overhead clearance and good-sized bunks with a filler to make a large double bed. There is excellent natural lighting and ventilation with two opening ports and overhead hatch with screen. Teak and Holly sole and cherry finish throughout.
The Guest/Day Head is accessed from the Forward Stateroom and it has plenty of room and storage, stainless steel sink and ample counter space. It has a Raritan electric Head which flows to the holding tank for overboard discharge or deck pumpout. It has a shower and teak grate for easy efficient draining and unlike some wet head, this one works very well.
The cabin sides and deck have been professionally sanded, filled and faired and painted in 2020 with Awlgrip. There are NO spider cracks as in common on these Sabrelines. Hull sides are in excellent condition. Minimal amount of teak brightwork to take care of. Bottom painted in Dec. 2020 by Hinckley.
There is a full lower helm with complete instrumentation and electronics for full command of the boat. This is great for very hot days and more importantly for cold and wet nasty days. Visibility is very good.
A very large bridge for a boat this size, well laid out with lots of seating, two-height dining table and two helm chairs at the forward helm. There is a Sunbrella bimini top on SS frame, and 3-Sided Isinglass enclosure. Access to the flybridge is from the trunk cabin top up three steps from either port or starboard.
You won’t find a cleaner Sabreline 36 Fast Trawler in the condition. Repainted with NO spider cracks! Interior and exterior show BETTER than in the pictures. Just serviced and ready to cruise and enjoy.
