She is equipped with a 4KW generator, bow thruster and new dodger and bimini. “Slow Burn” has been meticulously kept throughout ownership and was just hauled out for bottom paint in September 2018. “Slow Burn” also has a custom-made cradle and has been tested here in Florida.
From the cockpit, you enter the companionway down into the galley and main salon. To port is the galley and Nav. station to starboard. Aft of the Nav. station is the enclosed head and shower stall with the aft cabin to port. Once you walk through the main salon you enter the forward cabin. The complete interior is finished in beautiful Cherry cabinetry.
The main salon is impressive and takes full advantage of the 402’s beam of 13’4”. Deep comfortable settees found port and starboard. The port side converts to a double berth to be used for guests. The centerline drop leaf table can comfortably seat six adults making this the center of social activity on board. Deep lockers outboard port and starboard, large deck hatch, stainless steel opening ports and large fixed portlights provide light and ventilation.
The galley of the Sabre 402 is a pleasure to work in, whether at the dock or under sail. The U-shaped space provides all the security needed to prepare snacks or meals. Lockers with louvered doors, dovetailed drawers and clever storage spaces will easily store all provisions necessary.
Forward of the main salon is the master stateroom with a large centerline berth. This compartment offers many deep drawers and lockers for storage space of your personal gear. A comfortable seat is located to port in front of a convenient vanity sink and mirror. A tall, cedar lined hanging locker is found to starboard.
The guest stateroom is aft and just as spacious as the forward berth. A wide double berth stretches aft and a full set of lockers and drawers provide storage. A bookcase faces aft on centerline and stainless steel reading lights throughout.
