"Rough & Ready" is an Ed Monk designed Downeast semi-displacement coastal cruising yacht that offers trawler fuel economy with the added advantage of a 20 knot top speed.
Newer modern Yanmar 4JHA-STP 240HP diesel engines with only 350 hours power the yacht, attached to ZF-Hurth 2.04-1 ration transmissions. This is a major upgrade over the original installed power system.

The Roughwater 37 is a Downeast style vessel, designed by Ed Monk with a semi-displacement hull that offers exceptional performance with minimal power and fuel efficiency at trawler speeds.
Repowered with twin modern Yanmar 4JHA-STP 240HP diesel engines and ZF Hurth 2.04-1 ratio transmissions, the vessel will cruise comfortably at 16 knots with a top of 20.
The cabin arrangement offers a sleeping capacity for 6 adults in the forward stateroom and the two convertible settees. The upper and lower salons have a cozy and open feel, by utilizing a combination of beautiful teak cabinetry, large windows and light wall finishes.
The vessel has a beautiful blue Awlgrip painted hull.
The interior is a bright and cozy space, well lit by the use of large windows in the upper and lower salons. The cabinetry is handcrafted teak with solid teak flooring and bright wall finishes.
Access to the main salon and lower helm area is via a sliding cockpit door. The upper salon has beautiful teak flooring, a portside convertible settee, settee end table and the vessels lower helm station. The space offers excellent visibility for the helmsperson and guests with its large windows.
The lower salon, a couple of steps down from the upper salon features solid teak flooring, a u-shaped convertible portside settee, a fully outfitted galley, a head with shower and the owners stateroom.

The galley is located on the starboard side of the lower salon. It features a Norcold refrigerator, Magic Chef 3 burner range/oven, large countertop with a under-counter stainless steel sink and single lever faucet.
The navigational equipment includes equipment from Garmin, Northstar and Furuno that includes radar, GPS, VHF, Depth sounder and autopilot.
Electrical power of "Rough & Ready" is supplied via 120V/30A shore power, a Northern Lights generator and the ships 12VDC batteries. All electric power is managed through a AC/DC distribution panel that is located at the lower helm.
Propulsion power is supplied by modern twin Yanmar 4JHA-STP 240HP diesel engines that offer a top cruising speed of 16 knots and a top speed of 20.
