When Pearson Yachts decided to venture back into the powerboat side of the business, they went right to the top. They purchased the tooling for this Hunt designed 38 and turned their engineers loose on the project. The result is a very comfortable convertible that handles the worst conditions with ease. Powered by a pair of 3208 Caterpillars, the Pearson 38 will cruise effortlessly all day in the 20s. The interior has been upgraded with new upholstery, carpeting, privacy blinds, plumbing, electrical…and more.
The 38 Pearson has a two-stateroom layout with the master forward. On centerline is a queen berth. There is ample storage and a private entrance to the head on starboard. The head sports a huge stall shower. Across on port is the second stateroom with stacked single berths, closet space and drawer storage. Next aft and up two steps is the salon. The galley in on port with new counters, gloss white cabinet doors, new plumbing, and a new under counter refrigerator. On the starboard side forward is the entertainment center with stereo and flat screen TV. L-shaped cabinetry there houses the icemaker and storage. Aft on starboard is an L-shaped settee (reupholstered) that converts to a double berth. The other side of the settee opens to a huge storage area. A reupholstered barrel chair completes the furnishing on port.
The owners have enjoyed this 38 and have put it in top condition. This boat is currently wet stored and easy to see. If you are looking for a traditional Hunt design, please come have a look.
