2006 Ocean 57 Super Sport Convertible, THREE OF A KIND

Ocean Yachts is synonymous with the Leek family, whose New Jersey boatbuilding heritage dates back to the 1700s. And with Dave Martin, the naval architect who designed all the Ocean Yachts models since its founding in 1977. Ocean Yacht’s commitment to combine good performance and ride with comfortable accommodations and ample bridge and cockpit sizes has produced boats that are at home entertaining and traveling as they are on the tournament fishing circuit. The Ocean 57 Super Sport was designed with a running bottom tweaked for greater speed and efficiency to meet performance goals, while delivering a softer, comfortable ride. Hynautic power steering makes it easy to cut tight turns with a light hand on her wheel, and at low speed, she is stable and maneuverable.


Ocean Yachts was also one of the first sportfish builders to work with an interior design firm for plush accommodations and living spaces that would offer comfort for longer trips and family cruises. THREE OF A KIND’s updated salon features a huge portside wrap around leather sofa that surrounds a large custom coffee/cocktail table—both with storage inside. Directly opposite on starboard, is custom cabinetry that houses the entertainment electronics and large flatscreen TV. The galley and dinette, that seats 6 on matching leather upholstery, are forward on a raised deck. Appliances are hidden in cabinetry and drawers for a clean, open ambience. Galley and heads feature upgraded granite countertops. The light maple and teak joinery throughout the interior is stunningly beautiful.


The 144 sq ft cockpit is well-equipped with the fishing necessities, including a bait prep station with sink against the forward cockpit bulkhead, plenty of rod holders, fish boxes, and livewell. A large teak table is mounted on a stanchion in place of a fighting chair, with two deck chairs for enjoying cocktails and/or the great, smooth ride in this well-designed Ocean 57 Super Sport.
