1980 Mainship 34 Mark I. Two people can live on this boat comfortably. It will work well at anchor or in a marina.
Main engine is an economical Perkins T6 354 turbocharged six cylinder with approximately 1150 hours. Generator is by Tropical Diesel Electric Corp. It generates 7Kw and is powered by a Perkins three cylinder (103-10) diesel with 950 hours. A polishing system allows both engines to run from one fuel tank while the other tank is being cleaned.
The boat has two 30 amp shore connections with cables and a 50 amp splitter cable. The house battery bank is six golf cart batteries and these are also used to start the main engine. A separate starter battery is used for the generator. A/C power is provided by a Freedom 20 inverter/charger. Two 123 watt solar panels connected to a Blue Seas controller charge the batteries while at anchor.
The galley is roomy with plenty of counter space and storage. There is a Force 10 propane range with two burners, an oven and a broiler, a Norcold refrigerator/freezer (about 4 cu. ft.), a small microwave oven and hot and cold pressure water.
The head has a sink, a Raritan PH11 toilet and a stand up or sit down shower
The boat is air conditioned with one compressor and two air handlers.
There is comfortable seating for two in the spacious salon, with a table and two folding teak chairs for dining or company. Also inside is a steering station with engine instruments and a VHF radio. DC switches are on the inside steering console and A/C circuit breakers are on the starboard wall.
The cockpit is large and covered by the aft end of the flybridge. The two 10lb. propane tanks are in a fibreglass locker under the flybridge ladder. A large lazarette holds the hot water tank, the fresh water tank as well as lots of storage.
On the foredeck there are two anchors and rode ready to go and an electric anchor windlass.
On the flybridge, the steering station has the usual equipment including engine gauges, autopilot, VHF radio (with DSC), Garmin GPS chart plotter , depth and speed instruments. There is a helm chair and two back to back seats for guests. A useful dock box is at the back of the flybridge.
At the stern there is a fiberglass swim platform A stainless motor hoist is on the rear port side of the cockpit.
