PRICE REDUCED. IN THE WATER IN FLORIDA FOR IMMEDIATE SALE.
Here is a nice example of this popular American made Hunter 37.5 Legend that has proven to be both a comfortable cruiser and club race winner. “My Whim” was a fresh water boat for most of her life sailing the Great Lakes out of the Chicago area. Her current (and 2nd only) owner has owned her for the past 22 years, sailing her south to Florida a few years ago.
She features both forward and aft private sleeping cabins. The forward cabin has a full-across “V” bed, convenient sink and vanity, and large hanging locker. The aft cabin has a queen bed, hanging locker, and direct access to the head and shower.
Some of “My Whim’s” updates and improvements include replacing the original CNG galley range with a propane-fueled one, installing a new refrigerator and microwave, and installing a new anchor windlass with wireless remote control.
“My Whim” is now offered for sale at an asking price well below most of the other Legend 37.5’s currently on the market, and the only one available in southeast Florida with fresh bottom paint, and ready for her new owners to enjoy sailing the warm waters of Florida and the Bahamas right now!
The spacious main salon, just forward of the galley and navigation/chart table, is light and airy with opening portlights, an opening overhead hatch, LED lighting, and lots of storage spaces outboard of the settees. The hi/lo dining table can be lowered so the included filler cushion provides additional sleeping if necessary.
The L-Shaped galley on the port side has plentiful counter space. The original fridge box has been converted to additional storage, replaced with a new free-standing refrigerator/freezer. The original CNG fueled range has been replaced with a propane three burner gimbaled range and new propane system.
The private walk-in aft cabin features an island queen sized fore and aft bed, and has direct access to the aft head. The double entry head has a shower, a large stainless sink basin, and wall mirror.
The separate forward cabin has a large full-across “V” bed, a large hanging locker, and a vanity with sink.
The engine bay has excellent access from all sides. Although there is no hour meter, the engine and bay area are clean and show signs of proper maintenance.
The sail inventory is basic but sails are in very good condition. The 7/8th fractional rig has a bridge clearance (air draft) of 59 ½ feet. The mast shrouds are set inboard for easy passage along the side decks. The roller furling headstay drum is recessed below deck out of the way of the anchor. All sail control lines are led to the cockpit.
With the exception of the photos "profile" and “on the hard” which were provided by the owner, all photos herein were taken by the listing broker in February 2018.
