The midships galley of the Dufour 36 Classic opens up to two aft cabins without compromising the cockpit and its storage capacity.
Placing the galley amidships means the least boat-yawing effect. FLY has headroom of six feet, two inches. The diagonal berth in the forward cabin is a true double. This Dufour 36 keeps the strong looks of the classic line with its delicate sheer and balanced, uncropped ends.
The cockpit on FLY is well spaced and ergonomically designed. The teak decked seats are comfortable and long enough to nap on. All lines are led aft to make single handing easy. Swim steps make entering and exiting the boat from the water easy.
The custom davits swing also rotate inward for additional transom access.
The starboard sideboard galley has great storage and cooking layout. The salon bench seat is an ideal leaning post while underway, and the long counter gives plenty of room to prepare food. At the stainless steel deep double sink you have the convenience of hot and cold pressure water as well as a foot pump for when you are conserving water or battery power. A 5 gallon quick hot water heater under the sink ensures hot water is always available. The two burner propane stove with an Eno oven.
The MD2040 is a high quality engine is under the companionway in a very well insulated engine locker. located under the companion steps. It has access by removing the steps and both sides from the aft cabins.
The MD2040 freshwater cooled. This reduces internal corrosion and enables the engine to maintain a consistent and optimal working temperature under all conditions. To avoid galvanic corrosion the engine is equipped with the unique electrical isolation between engine and transmission. Comfort.
