The 88 Carbon luxury yacht by Delta Powerboats is designed for fuel economy without sacrificing speed or comfort and produced with efficient, environmentally responsible construction methods. Delta Powerboats was founded in 2003 by a team of Swedish entrepreneurial yachtsmen. The flagship 88 Carbon was first launched in 2012; "NJORD" (formerly named Samisa and Seabiscuit) was launched in 2014 and is hull #2 of the series. The 88 Carbon Yacht is completely the design work of award-winning co-founder, Lars Modin, in the distinctive Scandinavian style of clean, crisp angles, simple lines—form following function—yet stunningly sophisticated.

The open concept floor plan is further enhanced with a salon overhead section that slides open, along with wide double horizontal windows on both sides for a bright, airy interior extending from aft deck to the centerline lower helm. Facing L-shaped sofas with tables form an ideal social area. The galley is open to both the dining area across to starboard and the salon to aft. Large, versatile exterior decks—cockpit/aft deck, flybridge, foredeck—are ideally configured for an active lifestyle. Various shades provide sun protection when desired, and high, sturdy bulwarks protect the wide side decks and foredeck.

Both main and bridge helms feature the Garmin Glass Cockpit System, the premier multi-display solution for Volvo Penta propulsion systems, and IPS joystick controls. Powered by triple Volvo Penta IPS 1200 diesels with 900hp each, “NJORD” is fun to drive with the joystick controls for effortless handling and superior maneuverability, making her easy for owner-operators or a small crew to run.
