50 Artisanal Power Catamaran 2014
"Merjo 6" was designed for cruising the Great Loop in comfort and built to Lloyd's Standards. From the enclosed flybridge with 360 degree visibility to the extensive indoor and outdoor living space the "Merjo 6" was designed for off the grid living with 8 - 135 Watt Solar Panels and recycled grey water (used for toilets). R15 insulation helps keep living quarters comfortable regardless of outside temperatures. The Volvo D6 diesel engines connected to the DPH Duoprop drives makes for true tracking and lower vibration and noise. Add the dual Bow Thrusters for stress free tight space handling. With the drives up the draft is a mere 29" ideal for exploring inland waterways, the Bahamas and/or the Florida Keys.
quality and attention to detail is evident throughout. Upon entering
the salon from the aft deck you are welcomed into a space bathed in
natural light. Immediately to port is a circular stairwell leading to a
large pilothouse. Aside from being an extended living space equipped
with under-counter fridge, it is a well laid out bridge for any
discerning captain. Climate controlled for year round cruising you can
also choose to let natural breezes flow with numerous opening ports. The
aft deck off the pilothouse is perfect for watching the sun come up.
Down below to port, just forward of the circular stairs is a spacious
area with built-in seating. Between the seating and galley are stairs
leading down to the full length full height guest stateroom with queen
bed and a desk. In addition is a workshop located aft in the port hull.
Could convert to a 3rd Head.
The galley is U-Shaped with top quality appliances. Laid out for efficiency and gives the cook/chef the option to socialize with friends and family during meal prep.
On the starboard side of the salon is storage and an elevated salon table with 7 person bench seating. Just forward is the entry down to another full length full height guest stateroom with queen bed, head and stand alone shower.
Continuing forward in the salon is the full-width owners stateroom with walk-around king bed. The private large master head includes a jetted tub and washer/dryer.
Plenty of natural light and great views are included with all salon level living spaces and pilothouse.
"Merjo 6" was commissioned in 2014. The design focus is
simple dependability, and lightweight performance. Built with loving
care from proven plans and quality materials "Merjo 6"
provides comfortable long range cruising possibilities. Climate
controlled bright and open inside spaces lead to ample outdoor multi
level relaxation areas. "Merjo 6" would make for
perfect full time living or comfortable long range cruising. While built
for looping, the owners no longer have that opportunity. "Merjo 6" is waiting for an adventure with proud new owners!
