Only a custom-built vessel could combine such serenity & luxury with the utmost in ruggedness and durability. IETA is a 78’ transocean power catamaran designed to weather storms or impact. Having crossed the Pacific, she is prepared for long passages. Her unique blade technology & wave-splitting fins allow her to skate across the water. In addition, her superstructure was specifically designed so that in certain wind conditions additional speed can be gained to increase efficiency. An extremely green boat, she is fully powered by solar and her economical John Deere diesels sip fuel.
While she is a capable, long-haul cruiser, she offers impressive style and comfort. French mahogany and bamboo interiors are warm and welcoming with the hand-finished appeal of a classic yacht. Large windows keep each space airy and bright. The layout is spacious and serene. All of the finishes show a spectacular attention to detail. Every space is utilized to its maximum to curate comfort, enjoyment, accessibility and efficiency.
With the ideal combination of strength and beauty, IETA is calling your name.

IETA offers unsurpassed ease of maneuverability. She can be controlled by a remote controller, allowing you to captain her from anywhere on the vessel. Her navigation systems are designed with redundancies so that, in case of failure, there is a back up. Should you choose to captain from the pilothouse, she has excellent visibility through the 360 degree views. All windows and glass are made of anti-UV armored glass.
A berth allows for rest on night passages and the rear patio is a great place for a breezy drink in the sun.
Wrapping around the pilothouse, the Portuguese bridge offers not just wonderful visibility but a great breeze! Relax on the bench seating and enjoy elevated views of the sunrise over morning coffee, dolphin or whale-watching during the day, cocktails at sunset and superb star-gazing at night. Cushions come out for longer anchorages.
The bow is expansive and features three immense storage lockers. Two seats along the hulls provide for great visibility if on lookout.
The starboard garage is 14ft long x 6 ft wide and the port 9ft x 6 ft, with headroom of 6ft. The current owners used the smaller port garage as a gym with reclining bike and weights. The garages are 2 giant spaces that can accommodate anything from a jet ski to canoes, kayaks, dive compressors, an additional inflatable or just more cargo space.
A dinghy arch and crane allows not just for raising the dinghy but for accessibility. When the dinghy is raised, it lines up with at the transom and one can easily step out of the dinghy directly onto the decks.
The large aft swimming platforms are 4" above the water and make it very accessible to come aboard via dinghy. The platforms are also ideal for diving, snorkeling, fishing or dangling your feet while you enjoy a sunset.
She is currently gleaming with a brand new paint job in a custom shade of white. She has just had a new bottom job including being fully sanded, epoxy reapplied where necessary and antifouled.
The super-structure is designed for aerodynamic positivity. At wind of over 12 knots, and anywhere from 10 degrees onwards off the nose, IETA can self-produce up to 1 knot of additional speed, (or when the wind is to beam). Her 8 foot topsides keep the deck dry in most conditions.
The hull is a full epoxy sandwich construction - 96% AIREX Foam Epoxy Glass, 3% Kevlar, 1% Carbon. The design incorporates crash boxes (bow and stern) and has foamed compartments in the bow “blades” to withstand collision with a stationery object at 14 knots. IETA has more real buoyancy than weight, making her non-submersible. She also features a series of 12 sealed watertight compartments as an additional safety measure.
Her hulls are two to three times longer than her width. The length-to-width ratio optimizes performance. The build was routinely inspected by BUREAU VERITAS and IETA carries a full Certificate of Conformity. She is sold with a comprehensive out of water Marine Survey completed January 2023.
She has sailed in big seas with ease and completed several long passages in excess of 900 nm including a 3500 nm 29 day passage from French Polynesia to Mexico.
The port and starboard engine rooms are a masterpiece of engineering and ergonomics, with a headroom of 6’ 10. Accessibility has been prioritized and the engines can actually be hoisted up to be worked on at eye level. They can be reached at all times and in all sea conditions.
The port engine room / workshop has a bench with vice, and a comprehensive array of tools. A very large stock of spare parts is carried on board, including a new propeller. The combination of spares and tools allows for self-sufficiency in remote areas away from civilization.
The engines are extremely economical. Cruising at 6-8 knots she has a range of 4300-7000 nautical miles.
The engine room has been thoroughly sound-proofed to 63 Db in the salon and 40 Db in the pilothouse at 11 knots.
IETA offers the chance to own a luxury motor yacht that is also green! Her 4000W solar panel array provides 100% of the electrical energy needed aboard.
IETA has been carefully designed to allow for maximum air efficiency and ventilation - the complete air volume of the vessel is renewed every 3 minutes. Natural ventilation is achieved through a system of fully integrated dorade boxes installed on the fore deck which provide additional throughflow to the hull cabins. During heavy weather, ventilation is attained via vents in the superstructure on the wheelhouse and living area level. Louvers over the windows mid ship are set at negative angles and minimise heat penetration whilst preserving full visibility. The hull is also fully insulated. Additional cooling is provided by two portable 230-volt model KYR-25CO/AG-H (2700 watts) air conditioning units.
Heating is provided primarily by solar energy. 2 x 12,000 BTU diesel water boilers provide hot water and feed a central heating system in all internal rooms, controlled by separate thermostats. The wheelhouse has a pulsed air heating system with 4 windscreen outlets.
