The Catalina 445 is a very versatile design that incorporates contemporary styling. The long waterline, moderate beam and freeboard all contribute to making the 445 an excellent performer. The low-profile cabin structure, large cockpit and twin wheels all contribute to the aesthetics of this design.
The well-ventilated owner’s cabin is located forward along with a private head and separate shower area. The guest cabin is aft and includes a large double berth with access to the second head on the starboard side. The Flex Cabin is to port aft of the galley; this is a space that can be used as a third cabin, a work room, extra storage and has enough room to incorporate a washer & dryer, water maker icemaker, etc… There is ample room to access the gen set and engine access, as well.
The galley area has lots and lots of storage potential for extended cruising that includes front and top loading refrigeration, cookware storage, large twin stainless steel sinks, a three burner stove top, oven, microwave, dry storage and more!

Contruction:

The deck is constructed in one piece with an end grain balsa core sandwich and molded-in diamond non-skid pattern. The one piece fiberglass deck liner is finished in a non-glare texture. The loads of the engine, mast, rigging and hull is distributed through the one piece hull grid which makes for a boat with a lot of structural integrity.
