Carver manufactured the popular 356 model and added the cockpit for the 400. The cockpit adds a great deal of stability and livability for a cruising or live aboard yacht. The interior offers two staterooms and two heads, large galley and dinette (which converts to an additional berth for two) and a large salon. Large opening windows and hatches give the interior plenty of natural light and ventilation. Beautiful light colored woodwork and matching fabrics bring out the interior beauty. Step onto the large swim platform and enter the cockpit through the port side transom door. On the swim platform against the transom is a large storage box. Along the starboard side of the cockpit are spiral steps up to the aft deck. You can also come aboard from the port or starboard boarding gates and through the acrylic wing doors onto the aft deck. There you will find a wet bar with an ice maker to port and to starboard a storage cabinet and access onto the flybridge up three molded steps. From the flybridge the visibility is excellent and offer helm seating for three and a large guest seating area forward of the helm. Wide side decks make maneuverability easy with stainless steel cabin side handrails to aid your movement. Back to the aft deck, you enter the main salon through a sliding door amidships on the aft deck. Down three steps the large “L” shaped settee is to port with two recliners. To starboard is a swivel and rocking barrel easy chair with more under seat storage and the entertainment center. From the salon aft and down three steps to starboard is the master cabin with a port side queen berth, excellent storage, hanging locker, and en-suite head with separate shower stall, mirrored vanity, and Vacu-Flush head. Back to the salon and down three steps forward is the galley area to port with excellent solid surface counter spaces and all the amenities to please any chef. To starboard is the convertible dinette with forward and aft facing bench seating. The galley has beautiful with wood flooring. Forward and to starboard is the guest head with mirrored vanity, Vacu-flush head, and shower stall. All the way forward is the guest stateroom with an offset to starboard double berth with an additional filler cushion for added space to port and four storage drawers under the berth. There is a port side settee and hanging locker.
