Big Idea III is a 1990 48' Californian Cockpit Motor Yacht in very nice condition. She is docked in fresh water and under cover. She offers twin Caterpillar 3208TA 375 HP main diesel engines, a Kohler 12.5 kW generator, bow and stern thrusters, oil change system, full Eisenglass enclosure on the flybridge and sundeck, 2 stateroom 2 head layout with an enclosed shower in each head and she is a Great Loop veteran of 2023.

From the fiberglass swim platform, you step into the cockpit via the transom gate and then step up onto the hardtop covered sundeck. Once inside the sundeck, you can walk out either side deck via teak & glass wing doors to the foredeck, step up onto the flybridge or step down into the salon. Once inside the salon, you will find L-shaped seating/berth with a coffee table to starboard, counter starboard forward, 2 lounge chairs to port and the full beam master stateroom entrance aft. Walk forward and step down to find the dinette to starboard, galley to port and guest stateroom with ensuite head and enclosed shower forward. Engine room access is via hinged steps between the salon and dinette-galley area.
Headroom in the salon is 6'5", 6'4" on the sundeck, 6'8" on the flybridge, 6'3" in the guest stateroom, 6' in the guest stateroom shower, 6'3" in the master stateroom and shower. The master stateroom berth is 6'6" long and the guest stateroom berth is 6'4" long.
Big Idea III offers a full beam master stateroom aft with a centerline queen size berth and an ensuite head with an enclosed shower; and a guest stateroom forward with an island queen size berth and an ensuite head with enclosed shower. The salon seating converts to a double size berth as well.
The salon offers L-shaped seating (converts to a double size berth) and a coffee table to starboard, 2 lounge chairs and storage cabinetry to port, counter starboard forward, opening side windows with screens, blinds and entertainment center port forward.
The galley is down to port and forward of the salon and features:
Dining space is available at the dinette adjacent to the galley. There is storage under the dinette seats.
The guest stateroom forward offers an island queen size berth, shelves, overhead hatch with a screen, portlight with curtain, reading lights, anchor chain locker access, carpet, storage drawers, hanging locker, mirror and an ensuite head with enclosed shower.
The guest head is aft to port in the guest stateroom and features an electric flush toilet, Nevamar vanity with molded sink, storage cabinets and separate shower stall. The sole is carpeted and there is a single port light in the space. The guest head can also be accessed by a separate door in the companionway between the galley and guest stateroom.
The full beam master stateroom aft offers a centerline queen size berth, carpet, opening side windows with screens and blinds, vanity starboard, storage cabinets and drawers, 2 hanging lockers, full-length mirror, reading lights, aft sliding door to the cockpit and an ensuite head with enclosed shower.
The master head is forward to starboard in the master stateroom and features an electric flush toilet, Nevamar vanity with molded sink, storage cabinets and separate shower stall. The sole is carpeted.
The yachts laundry is to port forward of the master stateroom and features a Frigidaire stack washer/dryer.
The flybridge offers a bimini, full Eisenglass enclosure, 2 helm seats, wrap-around seating starboard and aft, Radar arch and storage under the console.
The sundeck offers a hardtop, Eisenglass enclosure, bound carpet over non-skid deck, transom gate to the cockpit, teak & glass wing doors, wetbar with Raritan icemaker, air conditioning, storage cabinets, 2 wicker deck chairs and ottomans and stainless steel & teak steps to the flybridge.
The cockpit offers a non-skid deck, lazarette access, sliding door to the master stateroom, transom window to the sundeck and transom gate.
