2019 Azimut 60 Fly

Completely redesigned from the bottom up, the new Azimut 60 Fly was first introduced in 2018, replacing the previous 60 Flybridge model. The hull was designed by PL Ausonio Naval Architecture working with Azimut’s R&D Dept. The planing hull has an aft deadrise of 15.6^o and 22^o at midships and provides a seaworthy, dry ride. The bold exterior design is by legendary yacht designer, Stefano Righini, responsible for the innovative, stunning Azimut exteriors. An interesting feature of note is the use of mirrored glass in the radar arch/hardtop side supports to create dorsal-fin shaped windows on the bridge that appear to extend from the main deck’s side windows which also feature the mirrored glass. With the sea reflected in the glass, it creates the effect of transparency! Very cool!

Interior design is by Achille Salvagni Architetti, known for beautiful superyacht interiors. All three designers are world renowned for their award-winning work, and it shows with the show-stopping superyacht styling and materials throughout this yacht. Versatility has been designed into the 60 Fly with tables that raise/lower and fold out to expand and sunpads that convert to sofas, as in the foredeck lounging/socializing area. The huge forward triple sunpads can convert to forward and aft facing seating. Cup holders are built into recessed side compartments capable of holding small items like sunglasses and phones. The attention to detail inside and out is astonishing! The flybridge deck of the new design has been extended further aft providing additional seating area around a pedestal table. Under the hardtop with sunroof, is a U-shaped settee around a dining table and grilling station with sink and icemaker. Helm station is forward on portside with a sunbed to starboard providing three areas on the bridge for relaxing, socializing, and dining. The entire aft area of the flybridge is surrounded by a high, beefy safety railing, including the deck opening to cockpit staircase. The sturdy railing is also on side decks to the bow.

The Azimut 60 Fly features the Optimus Electronic Power Steering System by Seastar Solutions that provides a high-end luxury car-like driving experience. Active Trim Control automatically optimizes the trim at every speed to maintain ideal hydrodynamics for performance, efficiency, and enhances lateral stability. These features and more make the Azimut 60 Fly, “MANGAS” a joy to drive for the owner-operator or captain. Crew quarters for two plus private head are located aft and accessed via a door in stern next to the garage.
