Irresistible III is a 2005 43' Atkinson Cape Islander 43 Pilothouse Trawler in very nice condition. She offers a single Cummins QSM11-M main engine, Onan 13.5 kW generator, Dual Racor fuel filters, Vetus bowthruster, five watertight compartments and a clean, uncluttered and well laid out interior. Most noteworthy is her famous Cape Island hull design. Irresistible III is Great Loop AND Bluewater cruising capable.
Bruce M. Atkinson LTD, in Clark's Harbour, Nova Scotia, delivered her to her owner in 2005. Her extremely experienced and knowledgeable owner was co-designer with Atkinson. The owners have cruised extensively since then, but now is the time to head home and pass her on to a new owner.
Specifications
From the fiberglass swimplatform, you walk through the transom gate into the aftdeck, where you will find molded-in steps to each side deck, lazarette access and double wood and glass doors to the saloon. Once inside the saloon, you will find a sofa, ottoman and end table to starboard, large wrap-around settee to port, galley port forward, stateroom companionway forward and steps to the pilothouse starboard forward. Step down the companionway and you will find a door to the starboard head and then the master stateroom forward. Inside the master stateroom, you will find an island queen size berth, a head and enclosed shower to starboard and a head and washer and dryer to port. Back in the saloon, step up the steps to the pilothouse and you will find the helm and two helmseats forward, watertight Diamond Seaglaze dutch doors on each side and a pilot berth and benchseat aft. Since Irresistible III has an asymmetrical design, you access the boat deck on the port side deck. Engine room access is via saloon sole hatches.
The headroom in the saloon is 6'4", 7' on the aftdeck, 6'4" in the pilothouse, 6'4" to 7'3" in the master stateroom and 6'3" in the master stateroom shower. The master stateroom berth is 6'7" long, the pilothouse berth and benchseat are 6'7" long and the saloon settee berth is 8' long.
With the mast and boom lowered, the height from the waterline to the top of the raised pilothouse is 12'6".
Irresistible III offers a master stateroom forward with an island queen size berth and two heads, one with an enclosed shower. There is a single size berth aft in the pilothouse, the pilothouse benchseat can serve as a single size berth, the saloon settee offers a single size berth and the saloon sofa can serve as a single berth.
The saloon offers a large wrap-around settee with an expandable table and storage to port, sofa, ottoman and end table to starboard, double wood and glass doors aft, opening side and aft windows with screens and curtains, Toshiba flat screen TV/DVD, teak & holly sole and Cherry wood walls and trim.
The galley is port forward in the saloon.
Dining space is available at the saloon wrap-around settee and the pilothouse removable benchseat table.
The master stateroom is forward and offers an island queen size berth with large storage drawers underneath, nightstands, reading lights, shelves, storage drawers and cabinets, 2 hanging lockers, linen locker, oversized overhead hatch with a screen (24" X 24"), 2 portlights, fold-up desk, benchseat starboard and two heads. The starboard head offers an enclosed shower and the port head does not have a shower. The stand alone washer and dryer are in the port head.
The raised pilothouse offers a full helm forward with storage underneath, a control station to starboard, Sea Post helmseat, Lebroc helmseat, opening side windows with screens and curtains, aft windows, clear view de-fogger in the center windshield, Diamond Seaglaze watertight dutch door on each side, Roca windshield wipers, a benchseat with a removable table and a single berth aft.
Due to her asymmetrical design, the boat deck is accessed via the port side deck. There is tender storage, stainless steel rails and a hinged mast and boom for tender operations and steadying and emergency get-home sails.
The aftdeck offers a hardtop, transom gate, Freeman hatches for access to the lazarette, non-skid deck, bug screens, molded-in steps to each side deck and double wood & glass doors to the saloon.
