Rick Furtado

Raised and worked in the Commercial Fishing Industry of New Bedford and Boston, Massachusetts. Descendant of the last US Whaling Master. Formally educated and trained as a Therapist with degrees in Counseling and Certifications in Investments and Banking.

Rick became involved with Historic Automobile Racing in 1979 managing a Team competing in FIA Historic Sports Car and Grand Prix Automobile Racing based in London, England in 1989. Returning to the USA in 1999 he became a Yacht Broker, completing studies at Hatteras University, Certifications in "Yacht Sales and Brokerage Law" from Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Florida Yacht Brokers Association and The Marine Council. Became an Employing Broker in 2002 managing a team of Brokers in multiple offices throughout the Gulf Coast. Certified Profession Yacht Broker in 2004. Retired in 2010. Went back to work as Dock Master in Everglades National Park in 2014. Moved to Key Largo in 2015 and renewed his Yacht Sales license.
