John Batterton

John Batterton lives in the Bay of Islands, New Zealand. For the last 35 years, he has been working on charter and private sportfishing vessels here in New Zealand, Australia, and the South Pacific. He has also fished in many of the worlds top fishing destinations. For the last 12 years, John has run the “Pacific HQ” and “Hookin Bull” mothership operation targeting light tackle world records. During John’s career, he has been involved in the capture of over 35 world records!

John is passionate about sportfishing and the boats required to make a successful operation. There are a vast number of boats in the US market that are simply not available in New Zealand and Australia.
