David Kester has always been involved in boating and water sports. His earliest memories are of summer weekends with his family at their lake place boating and water skiing. His first experience on the ocean was fishing out of Neah Bay, Washington with his father and brother in a 16’ fishing boat powered by a 10-horse Johnson. At Eastern Washington University David became a certified scuba diver and has enjoyed exploring Puget Sound.
After marrying his college sweetheart, Kathryn, the boating adventures continued. Their first boat was a 17-foot Fiberform. The love of boating and the water was passed on to both of their children who had boating licenses before driver’s licenses. As the children grew so did the boat with the purchase of a Bayliner 2858. They currently enjoy spending time on Summer Place, a Bayliner 3218.
After earning a degree in Business, David spent 20 years as the owner of a wheat farm in Central Washington. As a farmer he learned the value of a dollar and the value of hard work. As your boat broker he will offer these same qualities. He will work hard to get you the best price and nation-wide exposure for your boat.
When David heard that United Yacht Sales was expanding their presence in the Pacific Northwest he wanted to be a part of it. United Yacht Sales has the ability to provide customers with the exposure and expertise to sell their boat. He looks forward to working with you to sell your boat.
