Dan developed his love of the water and boats growing up on Long Island Sound in Connecticut. His earliest adventures were spent with his siblings aboard their 8 foot mahogany pram sailboat at the age of 6. His family always had boats including sailboats, a classic Lyman lapstrake boat rebuilt by his Dad and even an authentic New England lobster boat that they used to run for fun (and plentiful hot, buttered lobster rolls).
After graduating from the University of Connecticut (BS Business) and Northeastern University in Boston (MBA Finance), Dan pursued his professional career in Maryland where he and his family were able to enjoy boating and exploring the Chesapeake Bay and all that it had to offer.
